Don't mind Richmond getting back into the game I want to see Port work hard for any win. I can already see the conceit emerging in this club on the back of 7 wins in a row. Can't stand it when I see Port getting g ahead of themselves they have achieved absolutely nothing yet.
That’s what it looked like through that quarter.

1st quarter 17 x I50. the first 5 or 6 I50s were shit, we then improved and end up with 5.4.

2nd quarter 17 x I50 a lot of them poor, but many of our forwards fumbled and stuffed up and 2 or 3 poor kicks on goal and we produced 0.5.

We don't have enough elite talent in our forward line with Dixon, Marshall, Georgiades and yes rarely plays Fantasia all out.

In the first quarter we were consistently first to the ball around stoppage, second quarter our midfield seemed to be on the back foot a little.
Richmond have definitely up their pressure and we haven’t responded.

Our execution and decision making, both in terms of field kicking and goal kicking has been horrible. Isn't helped by the forward line we have our today.

Some guys who usually do it quite well are having poor games in that regard, JHF and Butters

That we got suckered into matching a first round bid on mead is mind boggling.

Together with jones (physically developed medium defenders being talked up as top draft picks just doesn’t ****ing happen)

We’re the only team that doesn’t seem to get the (player is already attached to them so let them slide) bonus instead having ours go like 20-40 picks earlier than they should.

I was vocal in the lead up to mead and jones drafts that both players should be 30-50.

As for mead, I said predraft he’s too slow to be an outside player, he’s not getting a chance inside

His best pre draft asset was his kicking and that’s just been a complete nothing at afl level.

No point criticising Burton, it's not his fault the entire forward line has fallen over.

We need to adjust our tactics accordingly and find a way to move the ball forward that doesn't involve just kicking it long and hoping.

Burton is a waste of time up forward.
If he just attacked the footy and forgot about Grimes, he’d be fine. The defensive, play from behind, negative strategy he has taken into this match-up is not helping us. Grimes is playing well and still intercepting often enough and we’re not putting any offensive pressure into him.

Too many players going through the motions hoping their teammates will do all the hard work. A good team will respond after the break, a pretender won’t.

You'd think a day like today would be made for small forwards, nothing from Junior, SPP not getting most of his effort Jed quiet 2nd quarter, DBJ doesn't come across as a forward who plays on instinct, not sold on Burton up front either.

Do we look at mixing it up on swing Burton back and try Jones, Farrell or mess with Williams head and give him a quarter?

Burton could take a much more positive, play from in front, mindset to his role
