Chol didn't get much of it but kicked accurately and made it as hard as he could for the Lions to clear the defence. Dear looks an absolute talent. Gunston rolled back the years, did the job on Harris Andrews

and kicked four goals from five shots.

The midfield stood tall in the first quarter then battled back when the Lions got on top.

Pretty sure the Lions managed three goals in a row as the consecutive goals given up, so that's a great improvement over the past 12 months when we would routinely go to water when the other team got on top.

Great win, and character building for the team.

And early, but quiet in between. Getting 4 quarter consistency out of him is very important. When he fires, he takes the team with him

Other than the third qtr, the Hawks accounted for the rapidly declining Lions.

A big shout out to Ginnivan. He only scored a goal but his AFL Fantasy of 81 points only bettered by Gunston among the forwards. He was involved in a number of scoring movements.

Day was magnificent.

Gunston, Sicily, Amon, Chol, D'Ambrosio, Worpel and Impey were all really good.

Mackenzie was brilliant in the first half but tired in the second half again. Hopefully a full four quarter performance is not far away.

Have been critical about Scrim in the past. He had a dirty day, but he was solid in that last quarter as we played it out. Really turned it around and didn't drop his head.

Didn't think Gunston for Wiz was a great selection, happy to eat my hat there. Was great today.
Worpel massive today, just a beast in the midfield today.
Also, shout out to Chol, 3 big goals at crucial times and 6 tackles and a lot of unrewarded defensive work. Also didn't really lose a pack contest which is all you want from a forward.

Great game Hawks! Well earned win, very happy to see as the Lions have got the wobbles, so it was a game you'd hope we presented well for. Sicily's kick into forward 50 to set up our 8th was fantastic, and great to see our forwards all leading to different parts of the 50 there!

Didn’t retreat into our shells when the Lions experienced players got rolling.
