Just watched the VFL highlights. I can't get over just how much Jack looks and moves like his dad! Especially when he is taking a mark. It gives me 90's flashbacks.

Yeah I know what you mean gives us plenty to be excited about HW:thumbsu:;).

Would be fantastic to see another Silvagni line up for the Blues - SOS was definitely one of my favourites. However, if the form is there I would like to see Jaksch given a chance in the seniors first - He really needs to be given an opportunity to show his wares soon otherwise I fear his chances may be slipping by.

Yes indeed I'm with you also as I would like to see Jaksch come in soon to the sniors he has so much potential,I'm sure Jack will get a go also at least some time this year which will be great. Also I just read some positive news about Mark Whiley as well who showed a fair bit on the weekend I hope he gets a game in the seniors as well.Seems really a promising sign that competition is pretty strong this year to get intot he seniors& hoping it does continue to be so:thumbsu:;).

sorry but this is nothing like melbourne v essendon, if you played us a week earlier the attitude would be so much different, even more so had we got up like we should've V hawks and north, our interstate matches in the past month have been the exact opposite to our form in Melbourne this season, even the GWS and dogs games we looked up to it for fair portions of the game but just lacked the polish to hurt really good opposition, whereas the WCE and crows games we looked insipid and just awful, I don't expect us to play this way come sunday. Losing a plethora of key position players hurts, but nonetheless if you were to lose it would not be because you took us lightly.

Now that's done, good luck for Sunday, always enjoy the tough heated contests between us, should be a good midfield battle although you guys have us on form with cripps gibbs murph if he plays all playing really good footy, armitage ross dunstan will have to be a lot better than last week to try and match your insiders.
I guarantee you Carlton will not be taking the game easy and if St Kilda do win, it won't be due to lack of effort from our Part.

If St Kilda do win, it will be either a close game and a lucky bounce going your way (Milne style) or you guys play a gun game and outclass us or we are very inaccurate in front of goal and lastly we cop 4 or 5 injuries on the day.

Which ever way, Carlton will pay St Kilda respect for 2 reasons:

Saints deserve to be paid respect
Carlton has 5 years of amazing form to go, before they can possibly think of going into a game without paying their opposition respect.

I don't think we will be risking Kruezer this week. Has told a mate of mine that he is fine, just has a massive headache. I just don't think with all the concussion stuff nowadays that they will take any chances.

I hope they don’t. not only for the concussion but also good for him to have an extended mid-season break with this game leading into the bye. Bring in Phillips if needed after his return in the VFL and he can partner up with Gorringe

Also, I hope Graham isn’t dropped. I’m not a big fan of promoting a player from the VFL only to have them dropped after a single game. Unless it was to cover for an injury to a guaranteed best 22 player. It isn’t fair on the player and the club really as players that are promoted need more than one game to prove their worth. Continuity is important. He had a game to reacclimatise and hopefully can perform at 100% capacity this week

Always pay respect to the opposition - if you don't that's when you're ripe for an upset

Nah, we're going to be Hawthorn like in 5 years

Definitely- very healthy signs for the club that there is some competition and the players have to work their butt off to get into the seniors

I Khan't disagree with any of that...

Graham went ok, problem is a lack of pace and not being an overly prolific ball magnet. Still goes ok. Can't see anyone in the seconds who would do better. He's filling Murphy's spot and will likely stay in until Murphy comes back. You'd think if Sumner is right to go then he will be likely. Really can't see any changes to be honest. I would have no issues with Kreuzer having a rest if Phillips is ready to go. Sheehan is probably a dark horse to get in at some stage.
