He was on a restricted training program before eventually being sent in for back surgery. He was often only in the gym.

Long is a kid.

A kid that has has plenty of chances this year in the ones, went back to sandy to find form which he has barely been banging the door down. Don’t get me wrong I want long to be a star but let’s have at look at langlands speed while he is in good form.

For mine definitely not Rowe, Newnes, or Armitage. That leaves one to omit from the other five. Probably Coff, Langlands, Parks, and Pato for mine - I'd prefer Langlands over Long just because I like seeing debuts and it sounds like he has a point of difference to others in the squad.

Don't pay any attention to where people are named. Gresh has been named in the pocket for most games yet has started every game in the centre. Acres will still get plenty of mid time throughout the game.

And Rowe has been named as insurance incase worst case scenario happens with our ruck situation. No intention of him ever playing.
