It definitely feels like season over now.You can’t win a premiership with so many players out of form, and most of our players have been out of form all year. We’ve hit the wall and there’s no coming back from this. The hunger just isn’t there anymore,You can see it in just about every team we play now,but not in us.

Oh well, thank God we won the premiership last year.If we hadn’t won it,this year would have been so much harder to take.

In reality we never looked like winning tonight.
So many players just going through the motions.
The premiership success and satisfaction and then injuries have taken its toll.
Time to reminisce on last years flag.

Yeah, when our entire ethos was winning the close ones and never really blowing teams away it really doesn't take much to turn those wins into losses.

Older players are a step slower, players in career worst form and a mountain of injuries means we're now a below average team.

Evident theres no real hunger in the group with all the soccer kicks off the ground tonight. Our work below our knees this year has been abysmal, especially under pressure.
Can you please elaborate? I'm missing the connection between the soccer kicks - which were mostly executed in desperation and to frighteningly little effect - and a lack of hunger. Not hungry enough to bend down and pick the ball up? Or desperate attempts to move the ball on out of congestion?

We did seem to do a lot of it.

McCrae is gaslighting us.

“We set our players up for success”

Hill allowed to play like dogshit the whole game. Schultz the one providing some desperation gets subbed oout with 14 to go.

Reef given no opportunity to provide run and speed through middle.

IQ better tonight but on a hiding to nothing playing on JC

Moore is gone. Can’t provide anything other than reactive headless chook running patterns

The good:

  • Freddie showing some tangible physical pressure and mongrel
  • Long managed to keep Stewart quiet and played his role
  • Jamie xxxx

The who?
  • Invisible Lipinski
  • Beige Daicos, too busy thinking about his property deals with Gurner
  • Markov just woeful

The WTF?
  • terrible connection handballs and kicks to no one
  • pea hearted response to our 2010 heros

Can you spit in your husbands coffee in the morning for us, please?

Darcy Moore continually throws his teammates to the wolves by not manning the opposing sides most dangerous key forward and leaving it up to either Dean who is nowhere near ready for that, or leaving it to Billy Frampton who does not have the athleticism to go with the modern day talls, and tonight it was left up to Q, who played his heart out.

As captain, Moore should be taking that responsibility on himself but he is much too concerned about making sure he gets to play loose man all game, every game.
Which I’m still not a fan of, he’d be in the bottom three for me in terms of players I want having the footy in our D50.

Just not sure if that’s the right approach for a captain to have or if it sends the right message to the rest of the playing group when their captain is unwilling to sacrifice his game in fear of getting beaten by the opposition forward so he instead mans Gary Rohan and a third gamer tonight.

People will blame injuries

Injuries don’t stop the players out there running and applying pressure

Think we might need to start questioning the coaching group too. Is Fly leaving too much to the assistants?

Why did we change the assistant structure from last season that was working?

Roughead is clearly not working as defensive coach.

Because our defence is atrocious

We haven’t played with dare all year

Can't really play like dare when we are the worst kicking team in the comp.

Absolute MUST we go after some good decision makers and kicks out of half back, nearly thinking Isaac Cumming is a guy we go all out for this year. We also must address the KPD stocks, Moore looking awful having to play accountable.

Season on The line at 3Q time and they don’t fire a shot.
Season done, players have checked out.
Exhibit A - the captain.
It was tough to watch. After Steele's goal 1 min into the last it was 5 pts and game on. No reason not to keep pushing hard and make a game of it but we did ****ing nothing for the rest of the qtr. Season on the line and nobody stands up when needed to drive home a win, ****ing nobody.

Same issue as last week.

The opposition stop us from playing our pressure game by playing keepings off with a high uncontested marking game.
Our gameplan has been worked out
