I watched this game as well you can't come to that conclusion, on that performance if we are to turn it around and get a win it will start with the Eagles, at this stage they are a shadow of there previous self.
They just got killed by Hawthorn who are very average.
If Ross and Clark are back surely we don’t need bytel. Midfield is slow enough. I wouldn’t play hanners either. Big ground. Long flight over there and what does he bring? Experience yes for sure but he is slow and that’s our problem in the middle.
You will do anything to knock ratts. Kids have bigger runs than they should. Windhanger could have been dropped about 5 times but was played. Owens got injured and had to be dropped after round one. Ratts actually put to much faith in him. Sharman got 3 games when 2 was probably enough. Are you actually saying Byrnes should play with Ross and Clark coming back? Byrnes was only In because Ross was out. And he didn’t do anything to suggest he had to stay. Knock ratts if you want but try and pick the right target. Jones probably deserves to be dropped but we probably need to see his response after the bake he copped. If there isn’t any then he may have played his last game for the club and probably fair enough to.
Unfortunately Jones must have been told he plays like Joel Selwood going into tackles head first, as soon as he realises he’s not, he might start skirting the packs with the ball & give us more chance.
Jones can respond at sandringham and Byrnes can join him. Play both Bytel and hanas. Bytel should stay in the side for the rest of the year. If Clarke and Ross are fit then piss off Higgins/Hill/Butler and there's plenty of room. Wholesale changes are needed immediately.
So you are calling for 4 inside/slower mids to eventually come in at the expense of a bunch of forwards and a half back? Won't happen and shouldn't happen.
Steele has been down since returning from the shoulder injury. Tackles lots but his performance as Captain has been very poor. Lacking energy, is not getting vocal enough or showing encouragement, and worse of all is getting sooky when things aren't going well.
Have you considered that the 2nd and 3rd year players haven't played much because they are all extremely average with huge flaws rather than it being due to Ratts not wanting to play kids.
That is a major worry. Looking at our list, I can only see two players who are showing real leadership- leading by example, busting their guts..Wilke and Campbell

Yep I’m sure the sack ratts people like it but even they must be bored of it. Ratts has given plenty of chances to young players this year and I have no idea what you mean they haven’t played in spots where they are unlikely to get more chances. Just out of interest who hasn’t played that has actually deserved to play and who has played in spots they shouldn’t. All I see from you lately is just words to knock ratts and no real back up. Are you saying windhanger owens Milera and even Sharman haven’t been given enough time to probe their worth? I’d totally disagree if you think that. Bytel injured. Connelly hasn’t been showing enough. Byrnes in and out for sure but for a reason. It’s because he is slow and there are better options. I’m struggling to think of one unlucky player in the seconds.
The problem with our midfield is they get plenty of the ball so stats look ok but it’s to same same. Bytel in and jones out makes it even more same same. That type of midfield isn’t going to get the job done. And surely hanners isn’t ready after one game. Isn’t this the guy 95% keep bagging and now suddenly he is in. I’d hope jones gets one more chance. The ground should suit him so there is no excuse at all. The rest of what you said was obviously a joke. Made me laugh. Well done.
