Sweet offers more in Ruck than Finlayson and Soldo rests forward

Naismith won't even play, like he didn't play this week.

Soldo can (and just did) ruck 80% of the game easily. Whichever of Finlayson and Sweet we play will probably be spending 60% gametime forward and 20% gametime ruck. Play the better forward over the better ruck. Even with his horrific case of the yips, Finlayson is the better forward.

If you're going to drop Finlayson, it'd be for Georgiades not Sweet

the rest of the time he would be a deadweight. he's just not a kf, and he's just going to allow his defender to sit in the hot zone and peel off.

sweet is a 1st ruck or nothing, and were not dumping soldo to 2nd ruck after that performance which is why he moved to us in the first place. to be a 1st ruck, and he proved he can do it. sweet is insurance against injury or a drop off in form.

Finlayson on notice. I want Georgiades in as soon as they are confident with his body and Finlayson didn't offer a lot.

If either of the small forwards we just drafted are looking anywhere near like they'll have the tank to play, just get them in IMO. We're really lacking at small forward. Should be our primary target for the midseason draft.

Finn out for anyone. Don’t want to see him in the side again he learns to kick again. Completely lost all ability the past 12 months and is just a momentum killer now.

Maybe Sav could pinch hit in the ruck and Marshall can float back behind the ball for added height if need be (more broadly through the year, rather than next week)?

We just got our new toys in the back line, lets let them gel instead of randomly throwing them around just yet

I'd like them too but I don't think it's something he'd be into. He played a great game today I'd happily rest him. I'm biased though as I'd love to be there for his 350th.

No teams use a backup ruck from defence these days. Just destabilizing for the defensive setup.

Would prefer to see Jones moved forward and be our backup 'ruck' than use Aliir / Rat and mess up our defence.

I know I'm going to wrecked for this call,

But I think Bergs is almost as bad as Jones.

He fumbles and his disposal is atrocious, his decision making is sub par at times.

Well we have to remember that both games are massively important personal milestones - even if he plays this week he will still break the all-time games record for Port Adelaide at home.

But Finlayson is a liability in ruck. Personally, I would bring Mitch in for him and make Charlie do the 20% ruck.
