3 ruckman, austin, setanta, hendo, waite, jaimson...plus bower coming back, maybe a little too tall.

what we need is run!!! i would consider bringing in players like grigg who get the ball and run.

Garlett will be pushing for a spot after an impressive performance for the Bullants today. He brings in run , offensive pressure and a tough matchup for the defence. Good goal scoring ability as well.

Hampson and Austin are no chance.

Run only gets you so far.

Did you not see tonight where we couldn't hit a team mate on the chest from 10 metres away?

No use bringing in more players that can't kick. Grigg is a long way back.

Some changes certainly have to be made. I'm not making scapegoats out of anybody here.

In fact Walker would be fairly unlucky as he got 19 possessions, 6 marks, and had almost half the team with a worse disposal efficiency. He doesn't go in for the hard ball enough though and he is supposed to be tough as nails. Needs some hunger. Walkers did lead the way in terms of 1%ers however.

O'hAilpin was the most ineffective forward on the ground tonight and needs to take more marks.

Houlihan, 15 possessions at 53%, not good enough. Only 1 1%er as well.

Warnock seems content with being tall. Not working hard enough around the ground for mine and does not hold his marks. Hammer does not hold his marks either but he goes hard at every contest and can run like the wind.

We could put the same team out there next week and they would give a much better account of themselves, but we do need to send a message to the whole team that this was not good enough, and to do that, the axe must swing.

Edit: If Hampson is injured, then I would give Jacobs a run.

Totally agree. How people think he has elite disposal is beyond me. He has a couple of decent passes a game that hit a forward on the chest and then ****s everything else he touches. Not to mention his accountability and softness.

Yeah, that's probably a better side HBF. Carazzo and Joseph could probably get dropped as well, but we've got no one to bring in.

Warnock looks to be the recruit of the decade...Sure would give Cameron Cloke a run for his money!

Looking forward to seeing Hammer run out this week though. At least he gives something around the ground and has intensity.

Edit: Hadley may be another option for us, unless he is injured.

Obviously Judd & Bower (if he is fit) will be ins for next week & if we are to drop Warnock, I would prefer we bring in Sauce Jacobs, probably our best tap ruckman, rather than Hammer, who if he is fit, will be well & truly short of a run. Perhaps Wiggins should come in for Houlihan, given his 5 goals for the Bullants today. Goodness knows we need his hardness & passion for the jumper.

Warnock is better than Cloke. Just want to see what Hampson or Jacobs can do and if one ruck is only going so-so, no need to keep them because they are tall. He will be fine Knockers, just make him work for his place.

I also had Carrazzo and Joseph out of the side while I was working it out, thus you see them on the bench. Basically kept them in although I felt they had shocking games, because Joseph is our only real tagger and because Carrazzo had plenty of contested possessions, and got more of than I realised. It felt like 16 possessions at about 35% efficiency to me, but it was 26 possessions (12 contested), 6 marks, 4 tackles, 6 clearances, 65% efficiency (better than the team average tonight).

IN: Judd, Bower

Judd in...no brainer. Bower in....no brainer

OUT: Walker, Houlihan

Walker was shocking. Kicking was poor as hell. That said, WTF was Ratts thinking putting him on Gumbleton? At least give Tex a CHANCE to play well!

Houlihan. The old Houlihan is back. Soft as piss, refuses to do any dirty work. Get out of my team you waste of space.

Jospeh has done nothing in 2010 thus far either, he'd be very lucky not to get the chop this week.

Oh god yes, that is what we needed to turn it tonight. Someone to lead in the hardness stakes. Robbo tries but is still raw and it is a lone hand. At least Wiggo can take a mark and run and tackle. His disposal wouldn't have been any worse than the rest of the team either.

McLean might not come up either in which case, Hadley has to come in. Would be a shame to get Judd back and not have McLean to dish it out to him.

Haha yeah, Warnock certainly has the potential. Just needs to have some confidence and throw his weight around. Was just having a bit of a joke. :p

And I called you HBF sorry. But yeah, just a little enraged after losing to the scum 6 times straight!

If Gibbs is not going to impose himself in the midfield, then he can use his skills out of defence.

Lucas can cover Gibbs if necessary.

With Garlett in Betts can pinch hit in the midfield.

doubt mclean would get up for next week? currently nursing a sore ankle and back?

Kept going on and off the ground all night. Doubt he will get up for next week, Hadley will come into the team.

Out: Walker, Warnock, Houlihan, O'hAilpin

We need to persevere with Setanta - we really don't have a choice. At the very least, we can't afford to drop him after 1 mediocre game, otherwise he will be in and out of the side all season.

I'd rather drop Henderson, who will take a mark, and then do nothing with it.

Setanta is okay, but his kicking action is dysmal, and we already have enough people who can't kick to save themselves in the side.

Was 50/50 on Setanta and Henderson but Hendo got a lot more of the ball and probably worked harder, although lacks that x factor that Setanta has. Just want to send a message to both to do better.

Agree with the Hendo part. He's shown some good signs on the lead, but his kicking for goal isn't his best asset at this stage.

Setanta tho, I dunno. Is he really ever going to iron out his weaknesses? Did you see that shot he had on the run from about 8 meters out? The game was over, but I couldn't help but laugh. Barely ten metres out and he nearly stuffed it up. I think the fact that he didn't grow up with the game is going to be his downfall in the end. I love his energy like everyone else, but it was his skills that let him down tonight. But, that could be said for nearly half the team...

Games like this weekend will happen to the best of teams.

It is easy to lose faith.

We will hopefully have Bower back, to go with Judd.

Carlton owes supporters a hard fought match, if nothing else.

That might be enough to get over the Crows atm to be honest.

2/2 isn't great, but I would have taken it at the start of the season.

We want to play finals - lets prove it next weekend.
