But you are relying on a single statistic to define toughness - it doesn’t - when Grundy tackles it’s more a tickle - if Nankervis tackles you you keep away from the ball.

Grundy doesn’t scare anyone - worlds tallest half forward flanker.
Resorting to just complete and utter nonsense now. Grundy is an obviously physical tackler, you're clearly just biased (to say the least).

Grundy provides no value for money. When you are getting nearly a million a year you shouldn't be returning a $650K a year performance.

You have an undying love for some of the players. Good for you.

So, it's not actually about Grundy's performance (within his control), it's about his wage (within the club's control). Now I get it.

Your anger at Grundy for the club's mistakes is as illogical as the rest of your posting, lol

Maybe Brown's 'effort and commitment' can't be faulted, but his performances sure can. He was dreadful again yesterday. I'd be happy if both he and his brother never again played an AFL game.

i agree. He has played enough games. We can judge his performances. He does well in the VFL and then he is a headless turkey in the seniors. This effort thing results in him trying to tackle but often he is too small to have an effect. We are wasting games on him now

I don't know how much they're all on, but to me Grundy is worth about 20% more than Taylor Adams - similar level of player in my opinion - but Grundy plays in approx 20% more of our games.

I don't think that Cox could play any worse if he was truly blind. He needs to get rid of those glasses as they only draw attention to him and become as inconspicuous as possible on a footy field. His performance yesterday was abominable, and certainly not helped by those silly glasses highlighting the presence of his uncoordinated frame. His seeing eye dog would probably have more chance of taking a mark than Cox.
DO you know why he wears those special lenses?

Obviously not to improve his vision because he is as incapable as ever of taking a mark - in fact his marking seems worse this year. Channel 7 commentators said time and again that the glasses were to protect his eyes from damage, so I guess that has to be the reason.

I think you can see what the fly is trying to do.....He told the players at the start of the year that the slate has been cleaned and he's going to give them ALL another chance. So he is going through all the senior players and giving them another chance to prove themselves. At the end of this year, I expect a number of them to be jettisoned.

So he has to give opportunities to cox and brown etc so that he can shake their hands when they're going out the door... It's probably going to waste a year on not pushing the younger players but the transition will be smoother. Plus the senior players remaining will be more in tune with the newer game style.

No.

Following the eye injuries he suffered, one of his pupils does not get smaller in bright light. So when looking up into the sky or into lights he gets blurry vision in that eye.

The dark glasses let less light in so less likely to get blurry vision.

So you can attack him for his form, but I don't think you should attack his physical disability.

Surely 'Fly' is fully aware of the inability of certain players like the Brown brothers or Cox to ever make the grade at AFL level. If he has to waste a year giving players so obviously bereft of the qualities required to be an AFL footballer an opportunity to prove their worth, then he is a poor judge of AFL talent.

I can attack him for his looks, which is what I am doing - and don't give me this disability shit. If the guy is disabled, he should not be playing AFL football.

The thing is that they have outperformed our kids in the VFL. Cupboard's bare. We've got no depth and the kids aren't ready. Just need a full list to pick from every week or we're in trouble.

You're describing his eyesight as a physical disability, yet think he should be playing senior AFL footy ...
Yes and he is wearing the glasses to try to negate it.

We will find out if it works or not wont we?

I understand. You and everyone else here think he is shit. I get it.

Greg cast your mind back - way back - to the start of his career.

Collingwood versus South Melbourne.

Grundy on the boundary line preparing to come onto the ground.

Mumford coming off decides to rough the young kid up.

Seconds later Mumford is flat on his rrrrrs and looking up at the kid.

Soooo a slight correction to your statement . . .

Grundy doesn't scare anyone . . . . . NOW.

He's a shadow of what he was - but he did have IT . . . long ago.

Attacking someone for their physical disability is pretty low.
The problem is easily solved. Terminate Cox's football career, then he'll never again have to wear the glasses on a footy field, and no one will again be accused of attacking disabled AFL players.

I don't think he's shit per se. I think he can play quite well, but I think his marking is too unreliable to be a marking target and always has been. He's not consistent enough to play as a KPF at this level.

Maybe - I cant recall that incident, and I did used to like him - but we are talking about now.

I remember it clearly and I also remember the video of the incident being very conveniently lost.

A number of posters from here that were at the game and witnessed it first hand complained loudly when the video went mysteriously missing.

I totally agree now he isn't an intimidating presence - just saying he wasn't always so.

I do think this will be his last year. He’s done well to play as much as he has. Promised a lot after that 2018 final, but just never got the consistency, as you say.
