Yes, I don't think we match up well with Brisbane at all. I'm not sure how we deal with them except pray for rain
Don't worry - they're beatable. There's no such thing as a certain finals victory.

What a cracking game...goes to show all this doom and gloom about the state of the game is BS imo...especially given it's a COVID-19 affected year.
Some teams are playing shit footy, some are playing exciting footy just like every year.

Really disappointed to lose in the end given it was after the siren, you were 2 men down in the last and had to fly in for the game...I thought we'd run you over. But Port showing to be a genuinely good team this year...good players in all areas of the ground and strong structures. Port were the better team on the day and deserved to win...should have iced it earlier with easy misses from Dixon/Marshall/Gray.

Dixon had a ridiculous game marking everything...unfortunately a bit iffy with his goal kicking. Ladhams/Marshall/Jonas/Boak also very good.

I'm really disappointed that our 3 talls Casboult/McKay/McGovern let your defenders intercept mark so much all game...including the last contest on the wing that won you the game. They are all good contested marks too so they were poor in that area today and probably cost us the game.

I know this isn't the place for comments on the commentating, and normally I'm not fussed. But I've never heard such one sided garbage as what seven peddled up during today's match. AFL my ass
And I don't understand why people listen to the TV commentary, when Tim Ginever and Warren Tredrea are on 5AA. Two Port legends commentating on a Port game - what more could you want?

Well done Port. By far the best team we have come up against and we've come up against Richmond, Geelong, Essendon, St Kilda and Dogs.

Whilst we have lost 3 other games and we just missed out on this one, with all the other 3, I believe we were the better team for the majority of the game and came unstuck in one quarter that cost us.

However, here, I felt we were just trying to keep up all day.

You had physicality, skill, monster forward, pre-arranged tactics, original game plan and a change in game plan. It was just a fantastic output.

Your young ruckman was immense in the first half. Pittonet has gone up and held his own against all that came before him before this game.

Whilst absolutely gutted to lost it and would have been over the moon should we have held on, the truth is, this was our least deserve game so far this year (and we were not too bad either).
Big respect. I've been a vocal critic of Carlton (as have many I'm sure) over the past few years but I think I can speak for most on here today that we recognized this as a genuine danger game and it lived up to that expectation. You guys have a good young crop and an interesting mix of talls up forward that will be a real issue for enemy teams going forward. I'm sure you'll finish with a good few wins to your name this season and teams will have to show as much respect as we did today to go with you.

You kinda knew Robbie was gonna slot that goal just because Huddo was calling it. That campaigner has an uncanny knack of being on the spot to call such moments.
Just watching the replay .. with four minutes to go Robbie misses a sitter right in front.
He made up for it LOL

Real Mr_Plow here (not the Port supporting one)...

Jonas was massive, played a captain's last quarter (unlike our leaders who were largely poor), intercepting everything and not letting Carlton's talls get the ball to ground. Also impressed with Marshall who presented well around the ground and moved the ball precisely. Thought Plowman managed Gray well for most of the match, but Gray doesn't need many chances to hurt. Will be very glad to see the end of him when he retires. DBJ is also a seriously good player, and should be approaching his best years and feature in AA conversations.

Felt that Hinkley out-coached Teague in the end. Not having Weitering on Dixon from the start was puzzling, Dixon always had way too many tricks for Jones, and really should've had 5-6 goals. Impressed by the clearance ability of Port Adelaide and the manner in which they always managed to find the free player by hand in congestion. Very well drilled team and by far the best we have come across in 2020.

Kind regards.

watching this last qtr again how was all the brisbane fans going nuts when Marshall missed that 2nd to last shot.

hope they're all feeling okay right now.

Didn't get to watch the game live and just finished watching the replay. What a fantastic game and boy are Carlton on the improve under Teague.
Got to start getting excited about 2020.Last kick of the match from the almost impossible angle.Lands in the ice cold hands of Robbie Gray.

I thought it was fake crowd noise for that game, Carlton biased because it was their home game?
