It's after a loss like yesterday that we need a run of games against Geelong, Sydney, Brisbane, GWS, Carlton and the Bulldogs to confirm our status in the competition. 2 x showdown losses are a no brainer too - we don't care, but they define their seasons on winning the West End Cup.

Edit: and in checking the fixture, we play most of those teams in the next few + sugar hits of Hawks and norf.

We aren't anywhere near a bottom 8 side. On talent alone, we are right up the point end which is why we will play finals again this year.

The problem is and has been for a long time, we have a coach who believes there is nothing he can do one game day. He just sis back, watches and expects them to work harder.

No tactical nous or analysis, he's not looking for where the game is starting to be taken away from us and doesn't look to make changes to swing momentum back our way. It's how Collingwood managed to kick 9 straight.

His game plan and structure just isn't good enough, it fine when we can bully far less talented ides but gets exposed against the better sides every year.

Rioli is probably the only small forward we have who has genuine goal sense. There is no way in hell I’d drop him before cheese.

He has been poor besides a bobbing up a couple times against Melbourne and Essendon.

I’m dropping McEntee too.

Honestly don’t know anything about this Anastasopolous dude but might be worth a crack because our small forwards were a disgrace yesterday. And poor for most of the year.

Rioli seems to be more of an attitude issue with him, absolute front runner.

The only reason I have any faith in us today is because of our record against the Saints in the Hinkley-era (I shudder at the fact it's been long enough to be considered an era). Literally only one loss vs them and in a game where they kicked an unprecedentedly accurate 12.1 for the game, and that one behind hit the post too. I don't expect to win by a lot, but I do imagine the boys get up because they love to vindicate the idea that Ken should be our coach. Ports by 8 I guess.

Sweet will be out for Dixon, they just gave Dixon the week off. He’s coming straight back in.

Just because mcentee isn’t good doesn’t mean Rioli isn’t the most lazy & selfish player in our team. I’d drop him to send a message, I think he has been poor for most of the season.

At least McEntee is trying, he’s just not very good. Rioli has all the talent but just can’t be ****ed.
