This happens everytime we have a rough week and feel like we'll be smashed with injuries. There ends up being 1 maybe 2 forced changes and 1 of the not so bad injuries we don't see for another 3-4 weeks. While playing others through their soreness but playing it down.

Straight back in for the saints at home though? It’s bizarre. Just further enhances the fact we don’t rate ourselves in big games.

Where do you get your stats?

According to Wheeloratings, we have the 2nd least amount of defensive 1v1 contests, but we have the 3rd lowest % of loss in those contests. That suggests our defenders are generally doing a pretty good job as a team and when they do have to win or nullify a contest, they're usually doing it.

A defensive 1v1 contest even occurring means our defence has broken down ultimately. I don't think we want many of them.

It's a bit like contested marks for KPFs. People absolutely love to point to contested marks as some sort of measure of a key forward, but in a functional system, having to kick to a contest is a poor entry.

Interestingly, we average the most Offensive 1v1 contests and we also win the highest percentage of them, but that's because our dumbass forward system is based entirely around kicking to contests in our forward line instead of trying to find an open target on the lead.
