Sweet will be out for Dixon, they just gave Dixon the week off. He’s coming straight back in.
Should be fun.. Lyon to play a similiar style to freo except with better players..

So expect 60 inside 50s on Dixons head with Wilkie taking a million intercepts

We will come out fired up for 15 mins, have 10 inside 50s for 1.4 and then once the excitement and game settles and planning/coaching etc takes over watch us bottle it.

Just because mcentee isn’t good doesn’t mean Rioli isn’t the most lazy & selfish player in our team. I’d drop him to send a message, I think he has been poor for most of the season.

At least McEntee is trying, he’s just not very good. Rioli has all the talent but just can’t be ****ed.

I just ran into Evans, I don’t mind him of the lesser names, he’s hard at it, sticks his head over the ball and often helps create or kicks a goal. I said what do you have to do get a game around here, he did laugh.

St Kilda may be better players on paper but they're mentally cooked and can be run over quite easily. In the last few games they've found themselves five goals down after not long. We should be able to bury them if we're half decent like the bulldogs did.

We need similar to what we got last year from Tredrea's "untenable" comment, which was obviously the catalyst for a bit of change internally. Instead of comments in the media, hopefully he's smashing fists on desks and holding people in the footy department accountable.

We didn't get 5 goals up on Collingwood by accident, our pressure was relentless and work rate was better than Collingwood's. That disappeared after 1/4 time and we just resorted to bombing the ball forward. No method in trying to move the ball forward and second rates efforts.

How many times in the second half were we streaming into an open F50 and all we did was bomb it in to a pack… hardly any leads, and if they did lead it was to the boundary.

We make football look so hard.

Rioli is doing exactly what he is able to do in our car crash of a forward line. Multiple times he's been playing one out as the only deep target in the forward line. We've got three tall options floating around outside 50 with no purpose trying to bring the ball the ground despite our best crumbing player being expected to try and lead up or wrestle their opponent in a one on one.

At what point to we just all agree to boycott one of these gameday threads.

Just have an opening post of Sack Hinkley, lock the thread and go about our lives?
I'm attending for the pure theatre now, just because I know my club will be here post-Hinkley, but there's absolutely zero attachment to success anymore, I know it won't happen and am not going to get lead on or waste emotional investment in hopeless endeavours. Especially while I have zero belief our club is actually interested in winning flags anymore.

I'm a bit the same. I still go, have made a few friends where I sit, you never know when you'll be there when something special happens, and while I'm there I'm only concerned about the players and the game itself, I manage to briefly forget that Ken even exists. Like you, I'm just waiting for the day when he's gone and the club's still here.

Pending SANFL game:

IN: Boak, Dixon, Williams, McKenzie
OUT: McEntee, Sweet, Jones, Burton

Sub: Rioli
After SANFL game:

IN: Boak, Dixon, Williams
OUT: McEntee, Sweet, Burton

Jones sub

We aren't anywhere near a bottom 8 side. On talent alone, we are right up the point end which is why we will play finals again this year.

The problem is and has been for a long time, we have a coach who believes there is nothing he can do one game day. He just sis back, watches and expects them to work harder.

No tactical nous or analysis, he's not looking for where the game is starting to be taken away from us and doesn't look to make changes to swing momentum back our way. It's how Collingwood managed to kick 9 straight.

His game plan and structure just isn't good enough, it fine when we can bully far less talented ides but gets exposed against the better sides every year.
I don’t disagree with you at all my point was we won’t beat sides above us or the Crows which only gives us a couple likely wins in the next 4-5

At that run rate we will be on parity W vs L putting in us in that bracket at that time ie at the end of that part of the fixture

Likewise but I've got an issue that theres a succession plan. Best coach available or someone anointed by Ken. I want scorched earth regarding the football dept when Ken is gone. Anything less is still going to feel dirty.

Poor campaigner. Feel for him

nah i think the saints will win, it'll be their biggest/best game of the year, we'll have a down patch around this early-mid season, then have a massive end of the season (smashing everyone 10th and below) before You-Know-What come September

Yep this is pretty much where I am at it’s actually why I’m going to the game this week

Saints don't have better players than Freo.
