Given how many assistants Donuts has lost over his time, what if we're looking at this idea of getting Dewey back in wrong and it's actually Carr who is calling it and moving on, having had his handshake agreement pushed back again and again, and so they're scrambling looking for a replacement to sit under the fraud?

I don't think it's an actual thing but it honestly wouldn't be the weirdest turn this saga had taken.

"You guys might as well be the first to know - I will be retiring as coach of Port Adelaide, effective immediately."

Hey - a bloke can dream.......
And the gaslighting of long term fans continues.. I swear they take a sadistic pleasure in keeping this clown on - No ambition - No care factor at all... They should all hang their heads in shame at the total destruction of everything we were...

I mean, we are St Kilda fans based off premierships, they just get sold hope a lot more often than we do:

Wow… so just like the goalkicking it’s a stat where I think “**** this is ridiculous, are we the worst with this?” and then the actual stats come up and holy shit, we quite literally are the worst. In some ways this would be a good stat to be on top of, but only if accompanied by success (like West Coast for example). We’re just a joke lmao.

"But we won't be changing anything about the game plan - we just need a bit of luck."

We had all the luck in the world this year, I think we went 7-1 in games decided by 2 goals or less.

Games with those margins usually rely on a fair portion of luck. A lucky bounce here, favorable 50-50 decision there, freaky goal etc. We had a decent run with luck IMO.

Now if you flip that around and we play without any luck we could have easily finished 11th-14th.

So Ken had better examine the real issues with our team otherwise 'without' luck he may be in for the most toxic year of his coaching life.

Luck - lol

Yeah, pay a collective millions of dollars per year. Fail constantly, usually with the same obvious reasons and then have the head of the collective talk about needing 'a little luck'.

Glad we have the deep thinkers working within the 4 walls.

I can't believe that Hinkley is saved by beating St Kilda and Hawthorn by a collective total of 8 points over the course of the year.
And beating Sydney last year by a whopping 2 points.
10 points over 3 games in 2 years. This club needs to stop looking at the binary “win=good, loss=bad” and start to look at how poor some of those wins were. The game against St Kilda especially.

God the parasite is on Dwayne Russell's show today as well. Dwayne-O just said Port is not an "8 (top) worthy list".
The term gets misused a lot these days, but this narrative is 100% gaslighting of Port fans by the media.

Finish in the top four 4 of the last 5 years. Shat the bed every time. But it's all good because the list wasn't ever supposed to even be in finals.

So anyway, I haven't been on here for a few days. Fill me in. Is he seeing out his contract?

there's a succession plan for Jordy to take over in 2032

Literally looking back at this year, we had maybe 2 good wins for the whole year - Geelong and Sydney. And then we get beat by them in the finals (we shouldn't even be in the prelim after James Sicily missed a gettable shot) and we just allow Ken to stay. Urgh. What a despicable year/club.

I wish we got this guy when we had the chance.

Gold Coast coach Damien Hardwick did not hold back as he delivered a timely reality check for his Suns side after a “disappointing” loss to North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.

The Suns were coming off a statement victory over Collingwood the week prior but failed to back up that effort, with Hardwick particularly critical of his team’s clearance work.

“We’ve just got to grow up as a footy club to be perfectly frank. We sit there and give ourselves enough opportunities but we just don’t play our moments.

“It’s my job as a coach to sit there and demand better because at the moment we’re capable of beating the premiership favourites last week and then this week we let ourselves down.

“I’m angry, to be fair. As a footy club we’ve got to grow the f*** up to be perfectly honest. Excuse the language.

“We’ve been in this situation too many times so it’s up to me and the match committee to sit there and get our boys going.”

Hinkley: we need a bit of luck - the list isn't good enough - I'm just a figure head, it's a collective.

God what a dismal year to still be in a prelim.

  • Lost to 9th placed Collingwood by 50
  • Lost to 14th placed Melbourne
  • Lost to 15th placed Adelaide by 30
  • Lost to Carlton by 30
  • Lost to 13th placed Gold Coast
  • Lost to Brisbane by 80
  • Lost to Geelong by 80 in a Qualifying final
  • Lost to Sydney by 40 after beating them by 100 earlier in the year.

Our double ups were Richmond, Melbourne, Adelaide, St Kilda, Fremantle and Carlton.

We're screwed next year.
