Well Kane, there's no way to definitively determine what a "Top 50" player is.

We CAN see who the Top 44 are via the squad Kane helped select: 3 for WB and 3 for Port.

And how does Ken reward them: playing them injured, on the bench or pushing them into unprovoked acts on the field.

Ken is a LOSER.

Kanes a CD man so he'd be using their ratings. Bulldogs have the 5 while Port has 2.

What an absolute cretin we have for a senior coach.

Asking a question that amounts to "ARE YOU SCARED??" - and expecting a meaningful answer, when players are answering this in front of the whole squad, in a men's sporting club (an environment where toughness, manliness, bravery, confidence are the ideals to be seen as, in front of your peers).

Good one Ken.

I've been saying for DECADES that we as a football club, and many failure-prone football clubs, for that matter, do not value psychology, and the services of sports psychologists, anywhere near enough. I've heard players from premiership clubs / grand finalists (can't remember who, right now, but I think Lachie Neale was one), say how they were in sessions with the psych, addressing various things.

What kinds of things can a sports psych. help with? I'll list a few, off the top of my head.

  • Goalkicking: Techniques to block out crowd noise, booing and offputting comments called out by oppo fans
  • Goalkicking: How to get in the 'zone' ('flow-state') and stay there for the duraion of your routine
  • Goalkicking: Techniques for managing stress and handling pressure before beginning your goalkicking routine
  • Techniques for managing stress and handling pressure in difficult, close games
  • Techniques for managing stress and handling pressure when you are being thrashed, or the oppo have put on a run of goals
  • Increasing your confidence levels and belief, both in yourself and your teammates
  • Overcoming Fear of Failure
  • Techniques for getting yourself into a desired mental state, such as being ready to "run through walls"

There'd be 100 more, those are with a couple of minutes thought.

So the team psychs would not only teach these to players, but TRAIN the players in them on a regular basis, leading either individuals or groups of them through exercises, as regularly and diligently as physical/skills training is done.

To do this you need a team of sports psychs. on board, instead of the 1 or 2 we currently have (unless I am mistaken).

But imagine our team, full of players properly trained in these kinds of techniques, lead by a half-competent senior coach.

We'd be unstoppable.

Or they can just simply eat a bag of concrete .

Caro, the clown who thinks Jarrod Schofield shouldn’t be Eagles coach because he has tattoos. She’s clearly a genius on what makes a good coach.

Can’t believe she said that, they went to a commercial real quick. She actually made herself look like a real goose.

That's quite telling when an absolute legend of the club walks out like that.
Jack walking over the footbridge at 3/4 time and who could blame him

Our Premiership ruckman Dean Brogan doing the same

Roger Delaney tweeting he basically doesn’t recognise the club anymore

Father/son prospects of premiership players seen openly cheering for the opposition in the crowd

This club has issues

Sounds like he will not be sacked until at least next monday the 16th, so 8 days left.

yeah best if he's not out and about at Mad Monday should it turn out to be 16 September, can imagine there would be absolute Scenes from some variously furious and schadenfreude-charged members of the SA public

The idea that we've somehow managed to draft, at random, through about 3 generations of players, the most mentally weak campaigners imaginable, and it doesn't have anything to do with the coach is so funny. Like the level of cognitive dissonance required to ignore the blindly obvious and claim that it's the players, or the supporters fault.

Still find myself pointing out to goldfish-memoried "it's all on the players" Ken sycophants on FB that he has essentially burned two very adequate playing groups and is in the middle of burning a third, a record breaking level of vandalism-by-failure that no functional club would tolerate for so long.

Anyone watching this?

Morris compared Ken Hinkley to Damien Hardwick ... except without the legacy.

He will be clinical in his dissection of Ken while Bartel will offer the same old, same old defences.

Not sure what Lethal will offer.

He doesn't have the same pathetic tendency as Malthouse to sentimentalise other coaches, but he doesn't care enough to display interest in the subject, one way or the other.

Watched the Norwood game today and reckon there are at least 5 guys in that team that would walk into our best 22, what's going on with the recruitment, are we giving Hinkley the best team possible

Tom Morris at the start: "I will give you the TRUTH on Ken Hinkley's future"

Then nothing new came up, at all. Just his opinions on what might happen.

I was sceptical that Tom Morris had breaking news, and I was right

It's hard to give him the best team possible when the ones we need to delist end up being his pets so we can't. Pittard, Bonner, McEntee are examples.

I watched.

Bartel reckons that if the campaigner can pull out a win on Friday night it’ll be the “best win of his career”.

I can’t believe this delusion. I understand the Hawks are in form and have had a great year, but this is a side that finished 16th last year, are still in the midst of a rebuild and are playing away from home…

We SHOULD be winning this game and comfortably, yet the media are going to kiss his feet if we do???????? Like it’s some great feat that we should be beating a 7th placed side at home?

I seriously cannot believe what we continue to see and hear from the media. It is remarkable.

Is he?

As we have learned over decades, Kane is loyal to nothing (except Ken).

Whenever the Champion Data doesn't go his way, he will trash it, as he did this year to claim that Connor Rozee was a Top 25 player in the competition.

“I wanted to have a crack at you (King) about your slander,” Cornes said on SEN Breakfast.

“You and ‘Hoyney’, your slander of the Port Adelaide captain Connor Rozee after an interrupted season with injury. You and Hoyney went on to say there is four years of data to back this up.

You know what the data is? Seventh in the coaches votes in 2023. He was fifth in 2022. We judge the coaches and their taste of who has had an influence on the game.
And he's done it before.

Murley and Lowe on their own would be a massive upgrade on Mcentee and Narkle

If you want to

If you want to see cope, witness the Reddit thread about this video.

The same excuses, rationalisations and blame-shifting.

I'd post on the thread, but I have been banned from the AFL subreddit for being critical of Hinkley and Dixon.

Can any of youse blokes reply to the Ken-loving campaigners on the post?

**** me that campaigner called Shot Receptor or whatever has to be Jordan Hinkley right? Full lobotomy in place

So dumbass Tom Morris said “anything less then a PF appearance will be the end of Ken”.

Lmao, so kerny would have 5 finals losses in a row, straight sets back to back, the world record for:
  • longest serving coach with no grand final of all time
  • worst home prelim loss of all time
  • worst finals losing streak of all time

And the eagles would be lining up to throw him a big deal would they Tommy?

Go get your liquor licence you little grub.
