If dinner is at 8;30pm I'll ****ing give ya a back hander and tell ya to get in the kitchen and make me my ****ing dinner.

It's the common dinner time. We don't eat before 8pm. It's usually later in Summer in the Southern states, because it needs to be night for dinner to start.

October looks like party month!

Yah, das ist gut.

Chad will be there next year - but most likely not as a forwards coach.

Back to the Maggies, please. He's the last decent coach we had in the SANFL.

That's very much the timeline I've penciled in.

Chad will be there next year - but most likely not as a forwards coach. Not sure on Hartlett (haven't asked because SANFL is meh to me), Goldsack 100% will be there under Carr next year, most likely in defence.

Majority of current assistants are currently contracted. Don't think they'll be paid out - some will be moved into other roles. And there are a few people Port have on their shortlist to bring in under Carr.
David Teague would be good for the forward line imo and Dewy in some capacity, maybe as the Midfield coach would be great too.

Agree, i'd be happy with that. He hates losing, and we need to stop treating our reserves like reserves and start treating them like a side that should win.

Question: Do we have a ball movement coach?

Ball movement relies on everyone on the field working as a whole. If you're moving in transition, you need all of your defenders, mids and forwards playing to the system and being well drilled in that system.

Our ball movement sucks for the same reason that our forward strategy sucks, Ken Hinkley doesn't think it matters and wouldn't know what to do to fix it anyway.

Shouldn't be hard to clear the wife out, she's never even been sighted.

I guess some people are just private, but a 12 year AFL coach's wife having literally never been sighted at anything at the club ever is bizarre to me, especially when half the family is employed there.

It absolutely is, especially in the modern times when females are more recognised in footy, and you had coaches like Dimma mentioning Mrs Hardwick (yeah yeah we know how it turned out) being an important part of things, etc, that the head coaches wife, the father figure of a dozen years, has never even showed her face.

I still remember when Choco's mum, Fos's wife obviously, died and it was a tragic event for the club. That was 20 years ago, and 30+ years since Fos was coaching.

Just quoting myself

I'd argue this furthers the argument that Ken Hinkley doesn't give a shit about Port Adelaide beyond being employed by us. If he lived and breathed Port Adelaide you'd have to think that would rub off a little bit at home, but he just doesn't give a **** about us. No interest in the history of the club, an active disdain for the fans. And we've paid him probably close to 8 figures over his career. It's ****ing disgusting.

I already knew that, but my question was about doing one based on whether we already have one available, and based on the replies I’ve received, it looks like it's Chad, which explains a lot why our forward strategy sucks as you’ve mentioned.

I hope with Josh getting promoted and Chad getting demoted that we bring a forward coach that brings a way better forward strategy, then when we’re in transition with the ball we don’t do the dumb kick it into shithouse and praying to god it lands into the hands of Charlie.

Would we bring Ebo back?

You’re sounding like a Crows supporter… ‘we should get Luko back’ …. Just because…

He’s probably happy and all in for Carlton. Stevie Dew maybe…. Hard thing is they are probably also enjoying not being in Adelaide, it’s a hard sell to get people here.

I’m sure if they announce Carr and sack Hinkley half of this stuff will happen…

They just need to throw Hinkley out and the whole club can move forward.

There was multiple games that Ken got booed, even in the Sydney final. It has started and will continue into 2025

Ignoring Hinkleys bad finals record, we will not win a premiership with the distractions of this being Ken’s last year, everyone knowing his contract is up, supporters being bitter at another wasted year.

Literally the right decision is to part ways, how our board can’t see that is beyond me.

If we mean mass booing then it was
Brisbane by the club's supporters.
Sydney by Swans supporters is what I was told by two Port supporters that were there - I was hoping it was from Port supporters.
Can't remember other games this year???

Unfortunately not enough times.

The more time goes on, the more I believe they announce and Ken will announce they’re mutual parting ways on the night of the B&F.

It would be so typical for Ken to take all the limelight. This is just my opinion.

I hope I’m wrong, and Monday he will get the boot.
And give the supporters a chance to vent? No way.

They’ve read the room and won’t expose Ken to any more potential negative feedback from the white noise.

I’ll be shocked if he even shows up for the presser to announce he’s gone.

Was hoping Chad would be let go, it might have plugged some leaks to Kane and his father.
As we know, Kane was one of Ken's biggest supporters and Graham just does Cornes things.
I can just see Kane pulling Josh Carr apart at any sort of decline, as we know we may have to take a step back to go 2 steps forward.
