Why not? What are the past players going to do about it?
The AFL appointed board members don't face election by club members let alone past players so why would they care how much noise they make.
As long as they do what the AFL requires of them their board position is safe and the past players can fight over the two lame duck member elected board positions.
I know what you're saying because I think that too at times but the noise of a significant group of past players would make me review my worth on the board if I was a director and I had integrity. It may make me want to resign if I didn't support the club to begin with. The noise may bother some of the afl appointees, surely? The afl would not want there to be unrest. Let me hope for something Steve.
