I wonder if the club realised the extent of the backlash they were going to get when they told Doogs to have a look around. Copping it from all corners in the media at the moment.

I feel like we're past the point where they'd even notice it tbh.
They'd easily be able to put it down to supporters with too lofty expectations finding another excuse to be angry.
It's getting to the point where I honestly don't know how to get through to them. They've shown an active disdain for the supporter base. Do we hold a protest in the car park? Do we spend the first quarter of our 2020 home opener outside the ground as a protest?
The memberships and attendances are going to take a hit anyway, but there is still zero real accountability.
Even f***en Kane Cornes had a crack at the decision to let Howard seek a trade despite having spent the last 6 months enabling these proven failures time and time again.

As of right now I'm 100% the same. Never thought it'd get to this but my membership next year depends on my work/life balanceFor me, the option not to renew in 2020 isn’t even a protest at this point. It’ll moreso be due to the fact I’m completely losing interest in the club and the sport. With my interest in Port Adelaide diminished my interest in the sport as a whole is barely to be seen. I just don’t see the point in coughing up $500 or $600 for a ticket I’ll only want to use sparingly.
Until this club is purged of all these losers like Hinkley, Thomas, Koch, Cornes etc I just don’t see any point.
I had this discussion with someone yesterday morning. We would seriously be no worse off, and quite likely better off, without a head coach. No coach would be better than Ken at this point.
Stone him!We have a wombat as head coach
In past years having that membership ticket has given me a sense of ownership of the football club. I just don’t feel that sense of ownership anymore as the club has been overtaken by buffoons who couldn’t care less about me, you, any of us. Their actions tell us this.

and I'm retired. I hate the fact that these pricks have wedge me n Ports.
Should have done it on his birthday.
I know this is blasphemous, but I'm even starting to wonder if this club is Port.
We used to throw the term "Southern Power" or "Southern Sharks" around to denote the generic SA franchise #2 we might become if we didn't fight for the club and maintain a link to the past. It was meant as a warning about the lesser alternative.
Increasingly, I'm finding it hard to see any difference between what the club is now and what it might have been if it was a generic franchise. Most of the differences are purely cosmetic, like the skin of a dead animal draped over a wire frame animatronic.
I'm also not the only one that feels this way in my circle of friends. It's common place.
The saddest part is I just don't care enough to maintain any anger about it.
Unfortunately it's got to the stage where members not renewing is the only thing that will get to them and effect real change. Playing to a half empty AO in our 150th will cripple Koch's ego, expose KT's ineffectiveness, confirm Hinkley's unpopularity in spades, and accelerate the exodus of sponsors to the point where the AFL will have to step in and start chopping heads.I feel like we're past the point where they'd even notice it tbh.

I read that incorrectly at first as though no coach would be better than Ken because he is at the top of his game but then i realised that you meant we could literally put a crudely made sock puppet in the coaches chair and it would still have more tactical nous than Ken.No coach would be better than Ken at this point.
This is what happens when the club chooses to ignore the elephant in the room as opposed to addressing supporter unrest.
Rather than tackle our concerns head on and calm us, they’re letting it snowball out of control. Head in the sand type of stuff. It’s weak and pathetic.
Because of the above, any decision the club makes will be met with heavy scrutiny and outrage - regardless of whether it’s right or wrong.
It will get much uglier before it gets prettier.
