I read that incorrectly at first as though no coach would be as better than Ken is because he is at the top of his game but then i realised that you meant we could literally put a crudely made sock puppet in the coaches chair and it would still have more tactical nous than Ken.

Is Cornes talking about the same Ken Hinkley that played a fat and out of form AJ in a showdown because he had no idea how to beat a team that ended up sacking their coach?

The same Hinkley that dropped Lycett over a disagreement? The same Hinkley that has missed finals in 4 of the past 5 years despite having a highly rated list (that he has now cooked) at his disposal?

If the club didn’t stupidly tie itself to Ken, he’d be out the door. No point in pretending otherwise.

I've been away for a while and see he's still here.

Catching up on this thread, finbarr and Doctor Feel said it well- I'm just not sure that I care anymore. Cancelling auto-renewal started as my little protest to the club, but it's bigger than that. The whole AFL has lost me. I barely watch games other than Port these days and now that my own club offers so little, there's nothing really keeping me engaged. The competition is contrived, making it near on impossible for a club like mine to be up the top. It's made worse by the fact the club is in the hands of no-hopers.

When the problems at Port are gone, maybe some of the love will return.

The sad thing is we all saw this coming when Ken was extended in 2017.

Still unbelievable that they did that, really. Heads need to roll for being so unbelievably careless and short-sighted.
