“We’ve got some clear information about what we need to get better at”

“Calling us flat-track bullies is disrespectful to Brisbane”

“Our best is yet to come and we’re gonna get better at it”

Can you paraphrase his prison bar position too please. I couldn’t make much sense of that either.

It was something like, “it’s got nothing to do with Collingwood, it’s about honouring our heritage in South Australia in one game only” (give or take a stammer).

I wonder if thats a slip if the tongue or an inadvertent rehash of a change in club policy.

Could we have given up on 2 games in the bars already?

Is AFL 360 worth a watch or did Ken waffle on for 20 minutes and say absolutely nothing? Something something something harder at the contest something something contested ball.

was he on? gross...

probably feels the pressure again and wants the media to love him again and have his back
Just as well Gerard's behind a desk or it would've copped an 18+ rating.

Montgomerys transcript on the port site is both a rebuttal and endorsement from the defeat by the better team on the day. Should be required football currIculum reading for some of the churlish posters on just this page.

We could go 0-22 for three years running and you’d smugly suggest we gargle the all-too-familiar testicles of defeat, Glenelg-wannabe.

Why are they the better team though when we were the better team last season and have improved our list and have supposedly improved overall?

Who at Ports is responsible for us having gone backwards despite improving our list?

This is the question. Covid struck at the most inopportune time but opportune for Hinkley. Apart from Brisbane and Gold coast, we benefitted immemnsely from the draw and not playing true away games yet he mystifyingly got extended when we should have waited to see how he coached in a more normalised season. It's a real shake head moment.

Concur.

Koch is afraid of him. Have I already said that?

Exact repeat of the premature contract extension in pre-season 2015, when Ken put on his sunnies and crossed his arms in defiance.

”How do you expect me to be able to coach properly for the last year of my contract when all the time I know it’s the last year of my contract?”

As I've said before Ken controls the narrative, which is almost always misleading and false.

So he says we have information? We're striving to be better?

Being favourites against the Dogs and losing, then painting us as the team who came up against the best is misleading.

We were favourites for the flag pre-season, we finished top last year. Where we sit now is regressing from where we once were.

Painting us as the little battler club coming up against better teams is defeatist nonsense quite frankly.

What if I told you the club’s real identity crisis doesn’t involve guernseys or emblems, but the paralysis caused by a contradictory mentality that revels in “cleaning out the no-hopers”, “exist[ing] to win premierships” and “mediocrity doesn’t live here”; only to come up with every excuse under the sun to justify incessant failure — “little club”, “tough competition”, “someone has to lose” — whenever the rubber hits the road?

Is there a clear better option?

Ross the Boss?

There are only two things Ross Lyon is good at. Ruining AFL as a spectator sport, and juggling Eddie McGuire's balls in his mouth.
