I didn't have the guts to tip us, but I have a feeling we'll beat St. Kilda - easing the pressure on our favourite coach......

Subject to conditions, the Saints will have a stranglehold on the game by quarter time.

One condition being Port failing to show up in the 1st quarter - again.

Yeah, between WAFL Coast bringing zero intensity and heart, and St Kilda relentlessly shutting down the Giants’ star-studded engine room last week, this has “I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY JUMPED US AND WE COULDN’T PLAY OUR GAME!” written all over it.

Hinkley talking about how St Kilda had an unexpectedly bad year last year for "a variety of reasons" and now they are flying at 5-0 was about as subtle as if he had tied himself to the goal posts at Alberton.
"What if I'm good at some point in the future?"

Seeing as though we've dragged our tails this week & the Saints are already up there I'd say it's even more likely.

Hinkley never misses an opportunity to pat himself on the back. He's a master at it.

Yeah i'm concerned as well. We've been absolute dogshit so far but we still have basically the entire team that finished 2nd last season and i'm terrified they'll click into gear and play decent enough footy over the next few weeks to take the pressure off.

I think, based on a decade of Hinkley, that we'll have been lulled into a false sense of security and St Kilda will smash us, but because good things can never happen to us, we'll probably have an unconvincing win or a close loss and the club will be pushing the narrative hard that Ken's got them back on track.

I'm hoping the odds push out a bit then i'm going to bet on us, something I never do. But at least my sportsbet account will be happy if we win.

Conditions you say?

So basically our coach is pulling out the 'does it matter when you lose your 5 in a row' rhetoric.

Never mind being 1-5 is already a terrible position to be in. 2013 was totally different, after sitting 5-5 we had 12 games left, so going 7-5 and making finals is still very doable. This time we have to go 12-4 just to scrape in on the back of a big PF loss.
