What makes you so confident that everything will be fine once Ken is gone? The same people who enabled his decade of mediocrity remain. The same culture of mediocrity and underperformance remains. I want to see them sack him, at least it'll show some strength and decisive action.

There’s every chance Dear Leader will think the best course of action is to promote Bassett to the top job, having seen Voss come out of the blocks quickly at Princes Park.

This is clearly happening. To be so openly talked about, it's happening. It will be the players who will drive Hinkley's exit date. Hinkley will still be trying, even if his heart isn't in it, because he's still auditioning for his next gig.

If the players feel it's become a waste of time, then the end will come sooner rather than later. I think we'll get a good idea of the players mind set this Friday night. We get pumped and play gutless bruise free football, the axe on Hinkley could fall fast.

It's almost the perfect transition, a season too late is all.

West Coast too. Their list needs to be blown up though and it doesn't sounds like he wants to start from scratch. But they do have endless resources which could be attractive. When you weight everything up from list profile and resources we're clearly the most attractive option but I still don't have any faith in the people in charge not screwing it up some how.

People are sick of the same old same old. Why waste a perfectly good afternoon or evening to watch something you know won't lead to the promised land? The project failed. To keep doing it is just pure madness. That's why I've stopoed attending. What's the point?

Yep, we get these occasional junkie fixes, but ultimately every time we lose a key game it's not just the loss that's depressing but the fact that we're not tracking towards anything. There's no number 1 draft picks coming in, under Ken we're fundamentally flawed and dont have any extreme talent in the wings that is going to turn things on its head. Ken is stale, the players go through the motions, we're boring to watch, our crowd atmosphere has completely dissipated and there's very little hope or excitement around.

A change can do wonders, it may not win us a flag, but at least it gives us a chance to believe in a fantasy again.

im not sold on clarko, his last 5 years were very average at Hawthorn but i always through the hawthorn list during the premierships werent that good and he got the best out of them so maybe im wrong?

The biggest thing we need IMO is cultural change. This club doesn't actually believe it can win a premiership. They might think they do and talk about 3 in 5 and all that crap but they don't truly believe it. The frightened, scared, timid home prelim final performances demonstrate that.

I think the three key positions we have wrong are CEO, coach and captain. Richo is a loser, Ken is obviously a loser and so is Jonas. None of these guys will ever be involved in a premiership. Move them on.

We need winners in these positions that can change the culture of the club and rid us of this choking culture for once and for all.

I wish we had some winners, some damn arrogance, some do-ers that just went out and executed, but we dont.

Technically he didn't rule out coaching them, he said he wouldn't be contacting them this season.

If you take that as 'ruling out' taking the GWS gig, then you may as well take it as ruling out all coaching gigs other than the Tasmanian team, if and when it happens.
