I wonder if he knows they aren't real tigers...The Power meet Richmond at the MCG on Thursday night, with Hinkley describing the Tigers as a "scary proposition".

Remember when we lost to their VFL reserves side?
Yeah, but with our club that could just as likely mean they know Ken doesn't have a job at GWS lined up, but doing the spineless thing and keeping in 2023 will (they think) be an easier sell to the gaslit, if they think Ken is so good others are chasing him, so it's definitely better to stay with the known (most winnest in 2020/2021 coach!) than a new coach.
Hinkley is a shit coach, but I can at least trust his intentions - to do what's best for him. I have zero trust in anyone off field at the club with any power (no pun) to do what's best for the club, over what's best for their reputation and ego.
How lucky are we to be allowed to play on the MCGRichmond. Just the name scares ya, don't it? Great club. Big club. One of the big four, aren't they? Malbun is the real spiritual home of football and we love coming up against the big clubs. We'll be there giving our all.

Cannot remember what it was like to have a well coached team.Hinkley is adamant the Tigers retain a fear factor forged from winning three flags from 2017 to 2020.
"They do. They're a fantastic football club and incredibly well coached.
Well that doesn't say too much about his own coaching.
Yessack hinkley sack hinkley sack hinkley - better?
The club isn't dismissing it, or even attempting to shut it down. That's the key.

PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley would like to turn the tables on AFL commentators linking him with the vacant Greater Western Sydney head coaching job.
"I dismiss it," Hinkley told reporters on Wednesday of the speculation.
"I don't take any notice of it because I'm committed to Port Adelaide and I have got a job to do at Port Adelaide.
"This happens all the time, speculation just comes from nowhere and a lot of it, unfounded speculation.
What??Ken is friggin inspirational.Yes. We are in the competition. Yay us.
"... We're still in the competition, that is what you do get some satisfaction out of, because you know how hard this competition is."

The words of ken.

The below is the context...i suppose it means the season isn't over so we shouldn't be super complacent? He gets paid a lot of money. It's really not fair!
"But I still don't sit here and get comfortable that from 0-5 it's a great result to get back to winning five or your next six.
