Someone has got to Ginever unfortunately he's gone noticeably soft on Ken.

They actively stifle dissenting voices.

More scarring from the late Choco/Primus era, where the movers and shakers believe we’re all saps who base our reaction and mood on messaging from on high, rather than what we can see and remember for ourselves.

Having said that, old mate thundercloud once admitted he thinks what Rooch tells him to think, so there might be something to it.

Why do you think Tredrea is not welcome at the club? I dare say Rockliff the same too now. Of course ass lickers like wangas and cassissi are more than welcome.... How has Chad Cornes had a job for so long? Our coaching box (Monty aside) is absolutely the worst in the AFL.

Ken is behind this all. He only likes yes men and those that dont say "yes" dont last long because Ken bullies and drives them out (exactly as he did to Schofield and Josh Carr).

Oh and Timmy G is not a fan at all. He is pretty useless on AA because he doesnt say how he feels out of a fear for the above treatment.

A lot of media talk now about member dissatisfaction with ken.
No F'ing idea why we are so pissed off.
Someone even suggesting that we never accepted him as he was an outsider. What a load of BS. We don't like him cos he is not good enough to win us a flag. Full stop. At Port Adelaide we win flags
What annoys me the most about Kens teams is
we rarely have someone who stands up under pressure
there is always someone panicking,
missing set shots when it really matters
This soft minded team was always the opposition not us.
And that is why I hate Ken.

Zero Local Talk about dissatisfaction
Crow Media Armada still talking him up like the second coming
That tells you all you really need to know

That was Josh Jenkins. And Garry Lyon managed to ‘Chinese Whisper’ that into “people close to the club” last night on On The Couch.

It’s like, what is happening?!

Why the hell is the club so attached to this guy anyway?

He didn't play for the club.

He's achieved no success in 10 years as coach of the club.

He does not appear to have any compelling character traits (not charismatic, not intelligent, probably not particularly kind, etc).

It's all actually a little weird.

I think there are few reasons, perhaps only one at this point. If Koch doesn't tie himself to Hinkley, I would suggest Ken would have been sacked a long time ago. I know for a fact there are multiple board members who are off Ken at this point and have been for some time.

David's bravado and ego got the better of him, and he lost sight on what success meant in footy terms as opposed to business/financial terms. He hitched his wagon to Hinkley knowing they'd never bottom out ensuring supporters will always be engaged but also resigning himself in doing so to never truly realising the full potential of the playing group.

Is it a coincidence that our best years were when Ken had - Richardson, Walsh and Schofield as assistants.

People gave Vossy a hard time but looks like he was holding the place together.

Seeing Ken in the coaches box, mostly alone is interesting. No one wants to coach with him anymore.
Didn't Ken essentially get plucked out of PSV Bumpkin FC by Malcolm Blight and since then he's kind of just found his way in to some pretty plum jobs.

Missing Monty and Burgess in this. It's basically:

2013 & 2014 - Ken takes credit for the work of Richardson (2013), Walsh (2014) and Burgess
2015 - 2019 - Ken is exposed without great assistants (with Voss in a role that didn't suit him) and is responsible for possibly the biggest five years of underperformance ever seen in the AFL
2020 & 2021 - Ken takes credit for the work of Voss as senior assistant, Monty and Schofield
2022 - Ken is exposed without great assistants (except possibly Monty, though the jury is out on whether he can coach midfield)

Its why this season was so predictable from the second Schoey accepted the job at West Coast.

It harks back to a chap from Sydney and a chap from Norwood parachuting into Alberton at its lowest ebb — having only been exposed to maximal negative takes from outside — and therefore wildly overrating the wider achievement of taking a fully-funded list teeming with neglected talent back to contention in quick order.

Allowing him to burn through 2015/16/17/18/19 (let alone the business end of 20/21) because he was ahead of schedule early-on, has absolutely stifled the club’s potential for the better part of a decade, and in all likelihood, for years to come.

Ken Hinkley is a Kwyjibo.

According to Bart, 'Kwyjibo' means, “ A big, dumb, balding North American Melbournian ape with no chin and a short temper".

I do love Rowe telling us we should be greateful etc, but he drove Neil Craig out of town and was strong on Pyke being booted.

Speaking of which, I would have Pyke coach us in a heart beat. Crows played breathtaking footy in 2017.
They sure as hell knew how to kick a goal.

Plus is having Pyke as coach would see the camp get dredged up every time we did well :)

Buckley obviously takes an interest in Port listening to him this morning, caller mentions Voss leaving and what impact does that have & straight away Bucks mentions Schofield leaving as well.. interesting.

I've noticed that as well. He seems very focused on our predicament.

Good, for more than one reason:

We need inept tactics being called out by high profile footy people as he has done and is doing.
We need at a very minimum a perception of multiple high calibre coaching candidates in a queue to replace Hinkley.
