Was the forwards coach of Geelong from 04 til 10.

DId the 06 review tell the cats not to listen to hinkley instead made bomber tell hinkley his attacking philosophy or the highway.

Wonder why he believes in such odd philosophy did the pies 2010 preliminary final make him think boundary line tactics and kicking to 1 key forward was the best system

Port and Geelong both got thrashed in prelim finals last year.

The language coming out of the two clubs over the off season couldn't be more chalk and cheese in contrast to one another.

Port wrote off the prelim loss as an aberration and Ken said the club wouldn't have done anything different in the lead up to the game if they had their time again. Port lost two assistant coaches and didn't even bother replacing them.

Geelong cleaned out their coaches box replacing all their assistant coaches with new ones and Scott said the club was going to change their game plan focusing on faster ball movement. Geelong also recruited Stengle to fill a need in their side.

Port are bottom 4 this year while Geelong are top 4 again and it's no coincidence.

Also helps that they have the smartest coach in the league whilst we have the dumbest coach in the league.

Port could have had Chris Scott as their new coach in 2011 but they opted to hire Matthew Primus instead. A real sliding doors moment there.

With an essentially unfunded football department, I'm not convinced Scott would have achieved anything if we did opt for him.

I used to look forward to a Port Adelaide game day with great anticipation. It was the highlight of my week, and more often than not, if the opposition knocked us off, they had to play some bloody awesome footy to achieve their victory.

Those days are long gone. For a while now, I've been dreading game day. Ken's game plan is largely responsible. Every goal is like pulling teeth - it's such hard work. I'm actually relieved that we don't play again until Easter Sunday, and the thought of attending a home game the following Saturday is abhorrent to me.

In summary, Ken Hinkley has ruined this once great club, and I can't imagine enjoying football again until he's gone.

Do we know anything about the Board's views on the coaching situation. I can't recall hearing anything (apart from our bloody President's views). I hope they are at least discussing it.

I honestly think that because there are so few Port people on the board, the dissenting voices have just been told to get back in their box. As many others have said, alarm bells will only sound when the financial performance starts dropping off. Game day is irrelevant.

He would've done better. It was more than player talent that was losing us games. Decent coaches can still have some good influence on the performance. A funded football department would've been there for him in his third year.

Wow the writing is well and truly on the wall, I would have thought at least 28,000 - 30,000 thousand at the game but 23,0000 the Afl have to start asking questions.

Not as many happy clappers as I thought, SACK KOCH & HINKLEY.

Wait til we're playing the Suns in the middle of June if they haven't sacked Hinkley yet

What a backflip from Caro. Last week says Ken saved the club and has no idea why supporters are unhappy. Then yesterday she thinks Ken will get sacked by the end of the season. Must have watched Port for the first time in a while.

The board are mostly selected by the AFL at the behest of the President to nod and agree with both.
