Exactly this. I feel this season has been death by 1000 papercuts. Unpopular opinion but I understood the first five losses (maybe apart from Hawthorn), that round one Brisbane game killed us with injuries not just the ones we saw Butters, Rozee, Alir, Gray Clurey Duursma etc but the ones we didn’t hear about. But since round 6 it’s been a ride of which team is going to show up today and who can withstand another jab in the knee, shoulder or ankle to play out a game. Charlie was an example of that yesterday, he was hobbling before he started the game after injuring himself last week.

Yesterday I had walk to away from the telly, in the second quarter we saw Collingwood pushing the ball forward at any cost while some of our guys….🤷🏻‍♂️ And those wasted opportunities in the final quarter, I’d love to see what happens when Georgiardis reviews his games I get it that he’s only a kid but sometimes it’s really hard to watch. DBJ and Ollie back to the just kick it and see what happens.

The only positive note I can find is the future, Rozee looked guttered about the loss as did Butters - they both played well. Lachie Jones to me is a classic no BS port player and will be a star. Rome Burgoyne (year 10) will play with his brother in a few years and I can’t wait for it - Jase is all class.

We missed Houston’s class in the backlines. When it comes to our future captain I think it’s time for a change and I’d love to see Houston considered, brilliant skills reliable and level headed.

Finally, what is it with us and milestone games?
Excellent football summary

Sorry to say it but this wouldn't surprise me if this happens

Why sorry?
Best outcome all round.

Though duck losing the Showdown.

Tony Jones said that Hinkley overreacted to the Sack Hinkley sticker, Kornes immediately responded saying it was a 'cowardice thing to do'.
I like the assumption that whoever put the sticker up wouldn't tell Ken to his face he thinks he should be sacked. I'm pretty sure they would, I think any of us would. The scenarios is more good luck sticker man or anyone getting a fair chance in a face to face to actually voice their opinion.

What is it about this club that has allows a single figure to become bigger than anything, beyond criticism, overruling everything and getting paid way too much? This regime basically committed all the same mistakes with Ken that it did with Choco.
There needs to be strong leadership at board level to make sure it doesn't happen a third time.
Choco was at least the son of one of the most influential successful figures in club history, a successful player across the country, and a successful coach.

The other day my car broke down. It has broken down a lot lately, for years now. I'm always fixing it up but it never seems to stay good for long. It's bloody annoying because it is always same things that fail.

There's definitely a problem with the car. People say maybe I should take it to a mechanic, I don't know what they are implying, that I'm not doing a good job of fixing it? I think that shows what they know about cars, and it's very very little. Even that time it was off the road for a month. I got it going eventually for a few weeks, I'm living and driving in the now. Nobody ever wants to talk about those times when it is working again after my repairs.

Years of club and media programming well and truly reaping dividends these days:

• tough competition
• not the SANFL anymore
• stability = success
• injuries, COVID
• players love him
• football program this/that
• need everything to go right (it hasn’t)
• club knows best

Nothing has ever managed to gaslight a group of people and change their views on issues, as well as the current PAFC has done to it's supporter base.

It really needs to be studied by professionals.

I don't think even Nazi Germany or Communist China does it as effectively.

Pretty harsh guys. Show some more respect to Donuts.

Since the season began at 0-5 we’ve gone 8-6 and that’s the type of W/L record that proves we can achieve our goal of challenging teams
Except the season can be seen in 3 black and white patches.

0-5 where we lost to good and very very very shit teams.

7-2 against a list bunch of bottom of the barrel guff and a sydney who had ladhams and inaccuracy piss away their chances.

1-4 where we lost to competent football teams and beat the suns (lol)
