If Hinkley stays next year we are going to be stuck with the same assistant coaches.

No new assistant coach is going to come to Port with the realisation that they could be out of a job the following year when Hinkley's contract is not extended.

In that case another year of Hinkley, Chadbro and Bassett.

Which would result in an even bigger loss than if we get rid of him. It's a no brainer to bring in a new coach.

You say that but the ice in his veins was well and truly gone by 2017
The club ruined him, could have been anything but ended up average, yes partly his own fault but ken's known to hate flair, look at Duursma, same things happening

A club rarely succeeds when there's so much hatred within and without. It's a strong word, but I think it's got to that stage.

  • The fans hate the coach, the chairman, the board, and I hate to say it - certain players. Stuff it, let's be honest: most of us hate just about everything about Port Adelaide right now
  • The coach clearly hates criticism, and he hates those who point out his shortcomings.
  • The players hate those who say nasty things about their beloved Kenny.

And so on and so on. Until we get all this negativity out of our club, we're going NOWHERE!!!

I wanted to hate your post but that doesn't seem to be an option...

What is it about this club that has allows a single figure to become bigger than anything, beyond criticism, overruling everything and getting paid way too much? This regime basically committed all the same mistakes with Ken that it did with Choco.
There needs to be strong leadership at board level to make sure it doesn't happen a third time.

Exactly.

Sorry to say it but this wouldn't surprise me if this happens
I'm absolutely fine with this. It's probably the only outcome I can see that will blow this whole thing up.

The sacking of Ken will most likely happen at the end of the season. Which will put us on edge more.

If there's ever a year to not delay a sacking it's this year with Clarko on the board.

But yes, I'm sure in the club's great tradition of getting everything wrong all the time, that's exactly what they'll do.

And then get compensation for Amon after our first pick would be a dream come true.
I can't believe that I hope we lose our last games
Odds-on for end of first round or tied to second rounder.
