I still often think back to Kens words last year. "Dont judge us on our home and away season, judge us after finals."

We then get fisted at home in a prelim, as pathetic and embarrassing a display as you will see when so much was in our favour. Pressed post game about it, he goes on to suggest, "it is not the right time to talk about it..." Then, he goes unsighted over summer, bounds back in and says "we are coming" dismissed the embarrassment of season prior, stating that "we must live in the now..." We then go on to be 0-5 with deplorable performances against Hawthorn and Melbourne at home as well the first half against Carlton and the capitulation v Adelaide.

So, we still have not spoken about being judged on finals last year and we didn't live in the now this year until the results went our way.

You could not make this up. This as much on Richo and the board as it is on Ken.

20 days apart.

From smugly spiking the football after winning a home Qualifying Final, to spinning and deflecting while sifting through the ashes of an entire era being for ****ing nothing.

And I’ve gotta read/hear/watch jamokes still defending this bloke as we sit 11th almost 12 months later.

this is magical.... everyone should just have this saved and paste it in to any PAFC related social media post.

They've changed their story more often than I've had hot dinners, in a desperate attempt to avoid accountability. The problem with telling fibs is that you also require a good memory, so you can remember what you said last time. Otherwise you end up with egg on your face.

Are you still sure he's gone?

Melbourne, outside of Pickett who didn't seem to have an opponent, were very pedestrian yesterday. Patracca was okay, did some good work around the clearances, but didn't hit the scoreboard at all. Viney was Viney. Good but not great. We actually had 11 of the top 14 possession getters on the ground. We didn't get dominated by Gawn and Jackson. More clearances. More insude 50s. Yet we just couldn't find a way to win. This is Hinkley's DNA. Forget everything else. This is what we are. This is what Hinkley gives us. Generally competitive, but just not good enough when it counts. This is Ken Hinkley. It will never get better. For all the ranting and raving we do over 60,000 posts on why he should be sacked, this is the DNA he has brought. He just can't get us to that next step. If the powers that be don't acknowledge this, they all need to go.

We need a big broom through Alberton. Any remenants of Hinkley need to extricated. Quite simply, he is a loser.

IMO the fatal bit of code in this DNA is the compulsion to possess the ball at all costs so that the opposition don’t have it. It’s a fear driven philosophy that pumps up our stats and makes it hard for lesser teams to beat us. But, it simply makes us too slow and gives better teams the chance to set up and defend whatever it is we are trying to do when we finally go forward. And then they kill us when it’s their turn of course.

It’s not flag winning football and never will be. It’s job saving football.

As evidenced by the plethora of failed comebacks when the game is lost. Players throw caution to the wind and play breath-taking footy when there is no pressure, only to get too close to win and the collective sphincter puckers tighter than Sister Mary.
