The idea that “Buckley would be worse then Hinkley” is laughable. Buckley took a mediocre Collingwood list to within a kick of winning a flag. All Buckley has ever needed to be an elite coach is to get out from underneath the Collingwood/McGuire bubble. When he gets his next job somewhere he will be very good.

Not sure if you were watching but your man drew a distinction between the Magpies that he played for and the Power that play in the AFL today ...
That was to do with NTUA and he was right, it would have no feels for him as a bloke who left the maggies 30 years ago and has never walked in the place since.

Bucks would be a huge upgrade.

99%

But the more ken still talks about possibly making finals in his press conferences even last night the more I'm thinking maybe he is gone.. because it's delusional. Hopefully they activate the no finals clause
Defs! His record against top 8 teams regardless of the results over the next four weeks should see him gone. It's been 10 years and he's failed to deliver. There is no way anyone could say he's been hard done by if the club grows some balls and decides to pull the pin on Ken.

We were unlucky.

We were hard done by.

We were faultless.

Can’t say the “widdle club”/“not the SANFL anymore”/“each significantly bigger than us”/‘never giving up > actually winning’ brainwashing campaign hasn’t worked.

I think Bucks absolutely has what it takes to become a premiership coach. He's articulate, well researched and has some tactical nous about him, all things that Hinkley lacks.

Having never won an AFL flag as player or coach, despite coming close a couple of times, he'd have a fair bit of fire in the belly.

I'd take Buckley in a heartbeat over the steaming turd we've got at the moment.

Tell people something long enough and there's a healthy percentage that believe it.. as Hitler passes the Koolaid to Jim Jones.

It’s a funny old paradigm when suggesting Port Adelaide is bigger and capable of much more than these nuffs believe is met with laugh reacts and accusations of being a troll.

“Never thought I’d see the day” is a cliche that is usually grossly-overexaggerated, but jeeeesus.

A monumental decision set to be made by the club's board. I hope these f***wits read the room. If we lead into next year with stinkley at the helm it'll be an embarrassment etched into our history, and each of those responsible should be remembered as the weak campaigners they truely are
Correction Sir
The embarrassment started five to six years ago.
My greatest fear for this club is that with hinkley&cokh at the helm for the past ten years the culture of this club has been completely destroyed.
The playing group has been coached into a black hole and may not be redeemed by any coach without a large broom going through this team.
We have become a bunch of self satisfied losers with no vision of greatness at all.
The players that have been ruined under the mindless coaching of hinkley is piling up year after year and the net worth of this club has diminished while at the same time the net worth of those steering this club has increased.
There is no accountability within this club under cokh not one ounce of decency or integrity has been seen.
Revolutions start at the bottom the supporters must take back this club and bring these imposters to account.

Hinkley was the right man for the role in 2013, just to set the ship on course, But by 2016-17 it was more than apparent he needed to be pushed aside for someone with the technical nous and skills to finish the job. So i'm not completely prepared to write off his entire tenure. He was good for a time.
Yeah... It's a faint memory now 2013-2015... He did well back then... But he is a different person/coach now.

And should of been giving his marching orders in 2016.

Winning the next 3 going into the Showdown needing a win to make the finals and losing would be a fitting end to this fraud's coaching career

Buckley made Collingwood mediocre, after inheriting a top 4 list with a very good age profile from Malthouse.

Now, he is still preferable to Ken, but let's not give Nathan the equivalent of ignoring Ken's 0-5 start.

Season done now, even though it was done weeks ago, we need to lose all remaining games except showdown.

and I can definitely see this happening. A couple of 10 goal losses as well.

Absolutely. I also think that Hinkley might be fine for another group. This is why couldn't believe that he escaped serious discussion when all the "how long is too long?" stuff came up over the last week or so. I think he's stale with this group. Sometimes you just need a change

Collingwood were coming off the peak of that playing group & he had to weed out the shit trucks.

Remember Heath Shaw making a dick of himself on Monfries in a final?

I do, who can forget it?

But they had flag quality. He sacrificed flag players for culture. And let's be honest, from all recent developments, it was for nothing. Collingwood still seem to have a garbage culture, and the way Bucks handled the Lumumba stuff isn't flattering either.

Lamumba is a petulent child who tried his hardest to entrap Buckley and Buckley was having none of it. Buckley did well not to slap him.
