How's the thinly veiled cheap shot at Tredders when he said Robbie is 'in my opinion' Port's greatest AFL era player. F*** off you stupid hillbilly, you're not actually qualified to comment given you're a blow in who was an opposition supporter until 2013.

More like "AFL House can't see Ken winning GWS a flag either, so rather than let him screw their hopes in a critical growth market why not let him see his days out at Port Irrelevant where a greater unwavering supporter base can be taken for granted". Thanks for passing on the message, Carobvious.

I mean why on earth would one AFL House controlled entity pay out a serially underperforming coach to go work at another AFL House controlled entity. Even for Gilligan, champion swimmer in the sewer of power that is AFL House, that would be too much inexcusable... waste.

I give a **** about the future of our game, against all its external competitors and its internal parasites, and we're in the bloody AFL because a bunch of Port people thought similarly about the future a few decades back. So yes I can see that pumping some success into GWS is more significant for AFL House's long term goals than any success we might earn here. I have understood that the (v)AFL wanted to grow without giving up any of their little vicpatches so they needed bigger territories to help pay for that, and in some way we and WA are just that. But at some point, AFL House will need to move Koch on for allowing Ken's not-good-enough for so long that a rot beyond mediocrity sets in and coincides with long simmering fan anger that turns into financial backward steps. 2011-12 people were rightly worried. Right now they are furious. Different ultimate causes. Much harder to "rebuild" when you've burned down the house waiting too long to put out the fire. AFL House don't care so much about us being successful but they need us to be functional, not burned to the ground.
Yep,ken won't grow the game in Sydney,Cameron made finals and a GF,they need a Premiership and ken has proven he can't get it done

IMO our side looked best this year when he was out and it was Hayes ruck, Todd, MG and Finlayson up forward. I bet any new coach would look at his age and average output for a supposed man mountain and think the same. Another in the save Hinkley (and screw the supporters) for his own skin.
100% but ken literally thinks Dixon is one of the best players in the AFL,when asked during the year by a radio station if he could have any player in the AFL,who would he take,he said Charlie

It’s also easier to do if you don’t have to traipse into town every second week to sit there with your arms crossed.

It’s not just the money for me, it’s my time, energy and dragging others into it.

Sitting at a game not giving a s**t if we win or lose was horrendous this year.

Especially awful was the Ebert game that I wanted to win so badly.

People who don’t actually go to games in general (not you), seem to be the biggest pro Hinkley lot.

Easy for them as they just turn off the tv when s**t starts going wrong in the third quarter.

Interstate member here.

Don't disagree with any of this at all, but on a side note I've gotta say that amongst all of the disappointment that this week delivered, having Koch deliver a massively important club announcement on a news bulletin that was only visible in one market was a kick in the guts for all non-SA based members

We only heard it on channel 7, nothing to members here either.

What can be agreed upon is that his career was wasted by KH.

Do supporters email Hinkley directly to express their point of view? ... ever so politely of course ;)
I sent him about 20 butcher memes once.

I love Warren as much as anyone but Robbie has a fair claim to that mantle

It like picking between your children but there’s nothing to suggest Ken is wrong about Robbie being our best ever

The point is that the dickhead isn't entitled to a view because he has only observed one part of our AFL history. And his personal vendetta against Tredrea is likely why he made the comment.

We exist to win premierships.

Love Robbie but... images%20(64).jpg

It's not so much a shot at Tredders as classic reflex Ken defending/rewarding those who defend him. The unhealthy side of his relationship building toolkit showing itself. Don't get sucked into the non-debate. It's all about Ken, not Robbie or Tredders. That's why it's unhealthy.

Love Rob but he's never been on the big stage like Warren & Gav.. that's on you Hillbilly.

When one of these is probably responsible for you earning a large majority of your fortune you are likely to feel someone indebted to them.

It's just a pity these articles don't come out prior to decisions being made.

It's been said many times over but the straight out media protection racket scripting the narrative for a 10 year failed coach as being some sort of selfless martyr, it's just mind boggling. Makes you question your own sanity.

If the dogs wanted Luke Beveridge, a 2 time grand finalist 1 time premiership coach sacked, do you think the media, especially old caro, would go into bat for him? No way!!!

But this master manipulator has somehow got almost the entire media on his side.

Haha yes I picked up on that too. What a shithead. He's turning players, legends and staff against each other....classic divide and conquer strategy.

valid way to see it... I also think very consistent with his past behaviours that he aims to increase the playing group's dependency on him. just unhealthy.

absolute worst thing we could do is to take the bait he set and engage in the tredders or robbie non-debate

They're both club legends, equal top in my opinion. How dare he use his gripe against tredders to pit one against the other. Disgusting.

Unfortunately very true but now I have to ask myself, do I want to support a club that I am totally shut out of, we have no voice as to our board members nothing. Look at the noise we have to make just to be noticed and then dismissed in a few days.
What is the point of being a member when the only rights you have is to shut the **** up, pay up and the club will do as it pleases.

Total bullshit.
