I love the naturals reaction to this. Like no, don't assume Kochie acts like the other 17 chairs. He is entirely sincere with this.

Serious question if Hinkley the started the season 0-5 would the Port Adelaide hierarchy sack him there?
I think they'll wait until finals is mathematically impossible.

The silly part about the "you're not in the SANFL anymore" saying is that if we reflect back on the days when the SANFL was a legitimate competition (eg 1980s) - taking into account that it was a different competition and era - clubs turned over coaches fairly regularly and took some risks (South - Davies, Torrens - Weston etc), and even if they were perennial losers, they still wanted (and planned) to win.

I'd be surprised if anyone gave Woodville or Centrals an excuse that they were no longer in the amateur league anymore, or that it was a tough league and someone has to lose etc.

Also - by saying we're not in the SANFL anymore, it implies that we should operate how (other) AFL clubs do, and if that's the case, we obviously would have been well rid of Hinkley by now.

Because that's when our season finishes?

Lol, I know it's been said on here a million times before, but the way the club worships the ground donuts walks on is mind boggling. Koch could easily have just said "we wont be giving a running commentary on Ken's situation" and left it at that! Why basically commit to him for the whole year? What if the players check out and we go 0-6?

It may be seen as unrealistic by other teams fans and the media, but anything less than a flag should see us go in another direction in terms of coaching. It’s not sacking him halfway through a contract either, it’s electing not to renew a contract after 11 years. Totally reasonable. Another 0 and 5 start though would have to start the process early you would think. It would be another example of a failed preseason where we weren’t prepared well enough for real opposition.

Could it be that Kochs ego is riding this all the way to the bitter end? He has unashamedly hitched his wagon to Ken. Donuts failing to bring about any success also falls on Koch and the boards shoulders.

At this point I pretty much prefer Koch gone over Ken, if Koch isn't around the Ken issue takes care of itself. Fish well and truly rots at the head.

If we go 0-6 it would just prove that the players are letting Ken down and Josh Carr isnt up to it.

The only solution would be to trade in new blokes and get a new midfield coach to support Ken better.

Imagine going into a season with hope lol

Hasn't happened since 2015

But, but it was all just injuries and bad luck with the close games.

We have trained so well.

Why are you not convinced!

If you're not on board with Ken and the boys, you might as well go and support the crows
