The greatest of the modern era (GOME) was on the market.

Who has previously coached in this state, even spent 2 years at Alberton.

And rather than make a play for him, armed with the most readymade list out of the other potential suitors, we decided to stick fat with a coach who has made as many Grand Finals and won as many flags as you or I have in the past 10 years.

And the GOME has ended up at the smallest club in the league, at a time when they’re rock bottom.

A penny for Bob McLean, Bruce Weber and Bucky Cunningham’s thoughts.

It's not the SANFL anymore, stop expecting so much, we're a little old battler club, look at St Kilda they haven't won a premiership for over 50 years!

The only person from the club that spoke to him is Daddy Donuts.. just lol

The fact that Hinkley is speculated on every single available job even though he and the club have steadfastly said that he will be at Port next year is..... I don't really know how to explain it.... Nobody is willing to say Port don't want him, yet he's being put up as a prime candidate for every job... does that make old Man Boobs feel good or bad?

The media are just feeding off that majority of supporters want him out.

Let's cut the BS - everyone should know by now that the reason Port haven't moved on Ken is because they don't believe they can do the arithmetic gymnastics to pay him out, whilst Ken obviously isn't going to walk away from 600k, regardless of his preference to not be here next year. Leaves a stalemate situation. So whilst that hasn't been officially reported, it's no surprise that his name keeps popping up as an option for teams with coaching vacancies.

There's still plenty to play out over the next week or so. Having spoken to people who have dealt with Ken recently, it's still far from a guarantee that he's at Port next year. Lots to play out.

Without revealing your sources, can you elaborate on what you mean by "people that have dealt with Ken recently"?

Clarko was never leaving Melbourne that's why gws went thru a whole process to find a coach. They knew it was unlikely clarko was moving. Essendon should be the ones feeling sick in the guts now. They don't want a newbie to replace Rutten and will probably end up approaching looney Lyon

Yeah I reckon they are going to get Lyon.

Lyon is massively ego driven. He was into the Carlton job, but it sounds like they weren't into him, therefore plays the aloof I'm happy to be in the media. The lure of a big Vic club will draw Lyon in I suspect.

Credit to Sonja Hood.

Didn't worry about the fact that Norf are a small club, didn't worry about the state of the list, or how it would look if they missed out. Just rolled up the sleeves, got on the blower, had a genuine crack and now they have the most successful coach out there at their club.
Sonja Hood has got more balls than Koch, he really is a gutless spineless bullshit artist, he and the car salesman fit together beautifully.

I suggest we attack Koch full on, it wont be long before it gets brought up by one of his more astute colleagues on Sunrise.
