Short of a flag, he’s not getting another deal here. If (and I recon that’s a pretty big if) Essendon offer him a multi year deal, Hinkley will take it.
I guess it will depend on how desperate his agent is for one last contract out of Ken

You're right he's not that clever and as Chairman, he's too emotionally connected to Hinkley. We can never trust this guy to do the best thing by the Club - look at the massive sample size he's given us.From the Koch thread:

I’d like to think he’s trying to force a nice compensation deal, but we all know he’s not that clever.
Lol this has a touch of the deja vu's (circa 2017) about itI don’t think he would have too much problem with being jettisoned at some point if he can sign a 3-4 year deal

This is why an extension next year is the short priced favourite of all potential outcomesKoch licking Ken's balls on AA this morning.

Those comments by the silly kokpaigner are just about a guarantee for kern that he won't need much incentive to pull the trigger on another extension.Koch is a w***er and needs to get out of the club and off sunrise. This morning reporting that Essendon are "into Ken" and Koch quickly mentions, "tell them they are dreaming" and "why would Ken want to go to a club like Essendon"
Extension imminent

I have little doubt that Ken will be extended, which is precisely why Koch needs to **** off. This is why an extension next year is the short priced favourite of all potential outcomes
He actually thinks he is playing 3d chess and putting doubt in Ken's mind about going so he can keep his master coach. All that aside, what sort of a club chairman blurts out s**t like "who would want to go to a club like Essendon?". What a completely inappropriate and offensive comment for a chairman to make of another club.
I can't get my hopes up again. I can't.9 sport saying Hinkley in the mix and watch this space.

Yep 100% arse about.Just to add to this, we're talking here about the guy who said he wants Port Adelaide to be everyone's second team all those years ago. And here he is potting other clubs so gratuitously.
What a complete ******* he is.
It's called the Dunning Kruger effect. Koch is too dumb to know that's he's too dumb.If it needed to be proved, this kind of thing shows Koch's complete ignorance when it comes to football.
This week's was game that, despite our dominance, showed the flaws in our team.
We let the Crows' ruck dominate by not having a ruck. Fogarty showed Jonas's weaknesses as a key defender. Our forward line was way too congested for too much of the game. The tactic of having an extra player around stoppages led to rushed and ugly forward entries, particularly in the first half. We relied on individual brilliance and lacked a generally cohesive gameplan, yet again.
These are the kinds of things that get found out again and again against talented, well-coached teams.
A big part of the problem is not necessarily David's ignorance. It is his unwillingness to accept that he is ignorant. If he accepted it, he could take advice from others. Instead, he just blusters through with an attempt to put up a facade of authority. That's what dilettantes do.
I keep resigning myself to it, but there keeps appearing a chink of hope.Nobody wants him. Give yourself over to the idea that he's coaching again next year.
Koch not talking Hinkley down keeps his value up.
Challenging Essendon may make them want to move harder!
Though I'm not holding my breath that he's playing chess.
Impossible to split.I want Koch gone more than Hinkley now.
With a weak draw and trading for a player like Dunkley we will be making finals next year meaning Hinkley will get another extension.
We are still a few years away from any sort of recovery unless there is a board change which seems less likely than a Hinkley sacking.
