It's simpler than that.I'm convinced this pro Ken media pile-on is a troll on Port supporters in the exact same vein that Port supporters on this very board trolled crow supporters with Trigg's I'll be here forever eyes.
I imagine that the people writing / saying this s**t are loving themselves sick at their contribution to keeping Port firmly in place as a harmless wannabe club come September. Either that or most of the AFL media are intellectually challenged, which I suppose is possible.
yep. a significant part of me wants it to happen now.
for the doyens, the sycophants, but especially the duplicitous weirdos who acknowledge how much of a clown car the club has become, but troll those who are at their wit’s end after nearly two decades of incompetence and embarrassment.
And if Port ends up winning the flag this year under Hinkley, a lot of Port fans will be delighted about it. Problem is, can anyone here actually see it happening?
Yeah, i've pretty much searched my heart and soul and the genuine feeling i get is that the club is almost dead to me. It's going to take a miracle for me to come back into the fold now, and even then i'll never be as invested as i was. There's a big part of me that just wants to sit back and watch the sky fall in on the club.
We have 3 champions in the midfield.
Anything can happen.
Very harsh on DrewJHF, rozee, butters?
Seriously though I have no idea which three were being referred to lol
But if we kick 12:20 again, it won't matter. We have 3 champions in the midfield.
Anything can happen.
Feel free people to give your thoughts to the person who wrote the article. Why Ken Hinkley is the coach of the year
It’s time to give Ken Hinkley the credit he deserves. Port Adelaide’s coach has been under pressure for years, always a loss away from…www.theroar.com.au

Kenny is one of the Geelong boys thats why they love him. They dont give a **** about PortIt makes zero sense. The guy is literally the most unsuccessful coach in the history of the AFL and the media cup his balls at every opportunity.
The closest example I can think of is like we're all supporting Haas in F1 and should be happy to be invited.
Even bigger melt when they pay him out after the implosion, when they could've done this at any time in the past 5 years instead of sacrificing the future on the altar of fiscal responsibility while never having heard of sunk cost fallacy.contract extension for 3 years at 11-4, then the implosion, just for the melts
Ports transformation!!!!! Hahaha.
We only just failed in 2 prelims. Say what you want about the 2022 failure, but you can't call getting the team back to where they should be, and where they had been a 'turnaround'. It's just a resumption of normal service with a failure in between. You also can't say he's done anything extra until results are delivered at the end of the year in big games.
Hopefully we win tomorrow, but even after that there's a game against Melb, away against Richmond, Dogs away, and a home game against Geelong coming up. Want to get some recognition and credit. Win those games.
Williams is probably more apt. History of success. Was stuck at the bottom of the field. Lacking sponsorship. Didn't show up to preseason. Now considered successful enough by pushing into the midfield. It makes zero sense. The guy is literally the most unsuccessful coach in the history of the AFL and the media cup his balls at every opportunity.

There’s been 2 types of season under Hinkley.
The ‘bad’ kind where we go in with high expectations and crater badly to miss the eight (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022), or the ‘good’ kind where we make the eight in mixed circumstances but p¡ss away a golden chance (2013, 2014, 2017, 2020, 2021).
Essendon merely invited him to apply along with everyone else, when they threw their net out Australia wide. Hinkley didn't bother because he knew he'd fail and didn't want to go through the process only to fail anyway, thus making the final year of his current gig completely untenable. He'll get an extension, no one is coming at him with a longer term deal elsewhere.
*I don't believe the Essendon story from last year tbh I doubt it was ever seriously tabled.

I'm having a dark day m8 he's gonna be here for another decade.Essendon merely invited him to apply along with everyone else, when they threw their net out Australia wide. Ive also heard essendon went to hinkley late once clarko was a definite no.It was 100% offered - and my source is certainly not Robbo who wrote about it in the paper last week. The issue was that the offer came extremely late and that Hinkley has already spoken with a large group of the more prominent players on the team and gave them his word he would be their coach for 2023.
I have criticised Ken a lot and will continue to when appropriate. However, he has a strong off field connection with the players and that can't really be disputed.
Fwiw I still think he will leave at the end of this season. He's not going to be on favourable terms here if Port were to offer an extension (2 years max) and a side like Gold Coast could conceivably offer him a 5 year deal which will be irresistible to refuse.
