I'm convinced this pro Ken media pile-on is a troll on Port supporters in the exact same vein that Port supporters on this very board trolled crow supporters with Trigg's I'll be here forever eyes.
I imagine that the people writing / saying this s**t are loving themselves sick at their contribution to keeping Port firmly in place as a harmless wannabe club come September. Either that or most of the AFL media are intellectually challenged, which I suppose is possible.

Yeah, i've pretty much searched my heart and soul and the genuine feeling i get is that the club is almost dead to me. It's going to take a miracle for me to come back into the fold now, and even then i'll never be as invested as i was. We only just failed in 2 prelims. Say what you want about the 2022 failure, but you can't call getting the team back to where they should be, and where they had been a 'turnaround'. It's just a resumption of normal service with a failure in between. You also can't say he's done anything extra until results are delivered at the end of the year in big games.

Hopefully we win tomorrow, but even after that there's a game against Melb, away against Richmond, Dogs away, and a home game against Geelong coming up. Want to get some recognition and credit. Win those games.

The ‘bad’ kind where we go in with high expectations and crater badly to miss the eight (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022), or the ‘good’ kind where we make the eight in mixed circumstances but p¡ss away a golden chance (2013, 2014, 2017, 2020, 2021).

At this point the season could literally go either way, with the ‘good’ path still to weave through a forest of past red flags, and he’s already receiving oodles of praise?

Williams is probably more apt. History of success. Was stuck at the bottom of the field. Lacking sponsorship. Didn't show up to preseason. Now considered successful enough by pushing into the midfield.

Essendon merely invited him to apply along with everyone else, when they threw their net out Australia wide. Hinkley didn't bother because he knew he'd fail and didn't want to go through the process only to fail anyway, thus making the final year of his current gig completely untenable.
