Perhaps they can all move to Guyana together.
I saw that the Agape cult grounds and facilities are up for sale atm. That would be a great fit.

Yeah nah.

The team that lost a prelim by 3 points was capable of winning a flag the following week. We just didn’t take our chance when it came along, even Russell Ebert said it at the time.

Ken will always be just one piece away from making it work. He’s Mr I’ll Do It Tomorrow but tomorrow never comes. That’s why he needs to be shown the door today.
The bottom line is that it's 19 years since the club's last premiership - a number that was unheard of until Hinkley showed up at Alberton. The guy is a record breaker for all the wrong reasons.

Yeah, i've pretty much searched my heart and soul and the genuine feeling i get is that the club is almost dead to me. It's going to take a miracle for me to come back into the fold now, and even then i'll never be as invested as i was. There's a big part of me that just wants to sit back and watch the sky fall in on the club.
Yep me the same, the wife asked me when do Port play this week, just the norm to ask in my household, I now reply with i don't know haven't bothered to check.

I just can't stomach the club atm and then to see the players hugging Hinkley after the game, it's just sad to think they believe the bullshit too, I am lost for ever I feel. The whole reason for loving this club was for all the opposite reasons it stands for today.

I know players generally will come out when asked and defend the coach but our players go the extra mile and use words like love, father figure, Kenny then show all those emotions on the boundary line for all to see.

Whilst the players are that invested in Hinkley and the media witness this, then Ken will not be sacked, I can't see Koch having the balls to destabilize the strange player coach relationships, it gives Koch an easy out.

They play for the coach not for the jumper.

For example, if Jonas had the Port Adelaide mentality, he would have pulled up stumps this year or last year for the betterment of the team. He would have sacrificed his spot for the team even though it would be worse for him. He would have given up the captaincy too.

But he's a good bloke who is in the inner circle and so you get to be a bit selfish about it all.

That article, like most media about Hinkley, just flatly refuses to look at the history or consider the last month in the context of his career. Lazy, bullshit reporting. Embarrassing.

We had very promising starts in 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021. No grand finals though.

2015-2022, just 4 clubs have failed to win a knockout final.

Essendon, Carlton, Gold Coast, and Port Adelaide.

When the season's on the line, Ken Hinkley teams can't rise to the occasion. But oooofffff did you see those wins in April and May?

I think it's becoming increasingly apparent that we are now being coached by Josh Carr, and Ken is just the boundary fluffer.

Coach of the year after round 8. Ken Hinkley would be a great coach for AFLW.
(not Port. Love our girls btw)
I know this is probably tongue in cheek but Hinkley would be a hopeless AFLW coach. He's a guy who has difficulty relating and connecting to young men who aren't into bogan pursuits. I can't see him being able to connect with the majority of AFLW players.

There's no rhyme or reason to it, this is a guy the media celebrates for apparently 'recovering' from a 0-5 start.

This lack of examination on this blokes tenure will never be seen in world sport ever again.

I’d let it through if we had made the finals but using “recovery” to describe finishing 11th is just laughable. It’s basically well done Ken for not being completely crap.

So

I called this, last year, Port would bounce back during the home and away season, and Port's management would give him another contract extension, before finals, to get him cheap, "before other clubs try to sign him up for more money". Also, Port go on to miss the GF and are stuck with more seasons of GF misses with Donuts.
