Makes Ken sound like the perfect candidate for GC!
In all seriousness, this is basically what we're doing now in everything but name.Maybe Kock will do something out of the box and go for dual coaches seeing how well dual captains worked?
Asking for him to be sacked while we are travelling the way we are just makes you look unhinged and easier to dismiss as white noise. Fail to make the GF from here and i will draft the template for everyone though.
Fukc that. Sack Him.Tredders latest pod....reckons he knows for a fact senior people are Richmond are sounding out Carr, believes Port would have to seriously consider an official succession plan to retain Carr after 2025 should Hinkley get a two year extension, considering Ports turn around this year. Suggests Snowden could be one pushing this.
Unfortunately it could boil down to whether Carr wants to wait until 26 to become a senior coach? Richmond are a huge club with big resources. But having said that Richmond would be sounding out a few others as well so nothings a foregone conclusion.
Gonna be a very interesting next couple months.

He'll lock Kenny away for another 10 years so gold coast cant poach himSurely the gold coast would already be into kenny, they would have known dew was a dead man walking.
kenny is a perfect fit for Gold Coast, get it done Gold Coast.
we need to lock Koch away in a cupboard for the next 6-8 weeks
just The thought of another year is bad enough.. 10.. please noHe'll lock Kenny away for another 10 years so gold coast cant poach him
If you had your choice... Hardwick or carr?
I just can't see any other reason why GCS pulled the trigger on sacking Dew this week rather than last unless they had finally stitched up his replacement for 2024. Especially with Bob East coming out so strongly in support of Dew after that Collingwood debacle.Surely the gold coast would already be into kenny, they would have known dew was a dead man walking.

Which would make anything more than a one year extension offer ****** bizarre. Why would Carr wait for anything longer than that? The way I see it is that there is only one real moving part and that is why have we turned the corner this year and are 2nd on the ladder.
If it is because Josh Carr is making a lot of decisions in the coaching box and he is the main reason we are succeeding, he stays.
If we are winning because Hinkley has made good decisions, then he could stay.
I remember Koch saying that he wanted to make Hinkley a 10 year coach to provide stability and he has done that.
I think Koch will feel that he has given Hinkley plenty of time.
I also think Josh Carr provides plenty of stability. The players love him.
With Carr changing so much about the team and really going well and beyond what we all thought was possible this year, it shows how badly Hinkley has run the ship and how well Carr has coached.
If Koch is a reflective man, and this is not the elephant in the room but it hasn't been talked about enough on here, is how many premierships has Hinkley cost us during his reign of mediocrity. That is a question that seriously needs to be asked down at Alberton. It could be at least 1.
2020 PF - Do you think the coaching of Josh Carr would have given us an extra 7 points to win that game?
2021 PF - Does Carr start Drew at the first bounce with the hard tag? Would the players be ready from the bounce?
The only way that Ken stays is that they talk themselves into thinking the new arrangement of Hinkley as a cheerleader and Carr pulling all of the strings is good for everyone, hoping that Carr will not run off to the Tigers or Suns or whoever. It would be bizarre but the AFL can be a weird animal.
Koch has done a fair amount of passive executive work but this one will define him as either the passive spiv who can't make a decision to save his life or deciding to make a decision best for the team which has already been trialled with resounding success.
Given the overall nature of the decision making, including the wonderful world of accountability, with the dropping of the captain as the obvious example, it seems the worm is turning back to the Port Adelaide Footy way.
We will see.
