Sorry to intrude but there is a bit of talk that there will be a succession plan announced. Ken will coach in 2024 then carr takes over in 2025. Also ken wouldn't be offered a better deal elsewhere.
Last part of that is right for sure no other club would give a contact to a loser like Hinkley.

What has Donuts done to deserve another year?

If that is true then next year is another wasted season.

Time to cut the cord now.

Ken getting another year to burn the list before Josh inherits poo would be a disaster in fitting with Kochie/Richo grand designs.

This year. Literally all the coaches except for Josh Carr are out of contract at the end of the year.
Which is why Kane Cornes won't say anything bad about Ken because he know Chad's employment depends on him staying

Ken saying he's "very very comfortable" with the doc's decision could be the thing that finally ejects him into the sun. We'll cop and absolute pasting from the AFL and in the media. The useless prick was sitting on the bench watching it at ground level. Doesn't care about players health, doesn't care about greyhounds.. how many times has he rolled out a "star" played on one leg to try and save his bacon? s**t bloke, no history

Get out. The doc will be sacked and Hinkley extended!

Why the **** would that happen? What possible reasoning would there be to have a succession plan for a side currently in the market as a premiership contender? Depending on your belief regarding who’s pulling the strings, you either cut him at season’s end or offer a 2-3 year deal.

Or offer the coach a contract no self-respecting human could possibly accept.......

A succession plan. What on this green earth is there that Kenneth Hinkley could possibly teach Josh Carr?

Be a senior coach for 10 yrs without achieving fùck all

Seriously, A Current Affair should be door stopping Hinkley and jamming a microphone under his nose such is the level of coaching fraud he's committed over the course of a decade.

"Mr Hinkley....where have you stashed your millions? MR HINKLEY there's no need to man handle me Mr Hinkley...."

Where to get some quality outdoor blinds.

Exactly but I'm just responding to the one year contract rumour. It's the only way it makes sense.

Koch probably thinks he deserves another super top up.
Sunk cost fallacy.

Koch just doesn't want to admit he was wrong.

The August deadline was seen as convenient because they didn't expect us to make the 8 (or just fall in) and it would be an easy call. I thought we would finish 8-12 this year.

The 13 game winning streak threw it all into disarray and now they have to reconsider their timeline or approach.
I bet Koch wishes he made a July deadline.
