I’ve had my disagreements with Janus’s *posts* and I’m 100% not interested in baiting here ... but I legit thought this quote of yours was about **Hinkley’s** behaviour in press conferences.

Yeah the pitchforks and flaming torches will light up more than a few tonnes of chicken refuse around Alberton if that happens. Minus any “toothed” board representation answerable to us, threats involving microwaves, memberships and manure may be the only way to get a message through to AFL house ... to let us clean up our house.

The only comparable experience I can think of is when Geoff Motley took his son Peter Motley from the club because upset with how he was being handled. Things were able to occur much more behind closed doors back then, it’ll be a very public falling out this time.

We were in the middle of being successful then, and relative to our competition then and now we were in a better position to identify enough replacement talent to build success back in that era. Bigger than any individual.

This time around fury is building and our board seem to be hoping it peters out. That would be an absolute tragedy for the club.

That reminds me of how the players were behaving in the qantas club and on the flight back to Adelaide in 2003 after the prelim loss to Collingwood. I was absolutely disheartened and disgusted

They should have been made to drive back to Adelaide after that game like I did and then they would have seen all the insulting signs hanging from the bridges and overpasses on the Western Highway.

I really hope KT, Kochie and co aren’t being sucked in by the opinion of certain players backing of Ken (but I get the feeling they are)

Eg we are led to believe that co-captain Wines and figurehead Dixon adore and speak highly of Ken. Ken even made that reference at one of the BnF’s that Dixon begged Ken not to take the Gold Coast offer.

Employees on big fat pay packets speak highly of boss that is very accepting of mediocre performance.

When we lost to Richmond last week... felt nothing. Wasn't angry.. wasn't happy.. just nothing.

I flew back from Melb. on the same flight as the coach and team (2 rows behind Hinkley). We're always told that the players feel the loss as much as we do. Well that certainly didn't apply to Jonas and Rockliffe who engaged in wrestling with each other in the row in front of the coaches. Oh, and a quick little game of hide the shoe which Ken joined in. I was sad, angry and disappointed at the same time.

Lol. Tom Jonas and Tom Rockliff who between them have played a total of 5 finals games in 20 completed seasons. Real winners those two.

My 3 pieces of advice for Jonas are,

1. lose that inane grin that you regularly display at the coin toss
2. show some respect for the members of the club
3. and the most important, play your opponent shoulder to shoulder and try and prevent him from kicking or being involved in multiple goals, and don't worry about distributing the ball yourself, because you SUCK at it!

This insistence that we can still play finals is insulting quite honestly. We basically have to rely on outside forces for it to be a possibility, as was the case in round 23 last year.
The fact that you made the season go the way it did by continually failing to meet expectations and still want to make members think we have a chance means you don't rate our intelligence very highly. Just stop talking finals.
