Have I won yet?
Nobody consumed more beers in the back pocket, or had more groupies swooning on the fence than I did.
Definitely hard to pick just one of those. Congrats one and all.View attachment 1720185
Now it is time for the Frankston Rover Award. The award for service to the league as chosen by the Administrator. As far as Season 35 goes, I should really say it is time to give the Frankston Rover Awards with an 'S' because this award was designed so that we can acknowledge efforts in doing the hard work that makes this league a better place and in Season 35 it is a rare instance where the efforts of multiple people are so outstanding over the course of the season that it would be unfair to exclude any one of them from such recognition.
Frankston Rover Award Winner - Broken
The first individual that I want to acknowledge by awarding the FRA to is the Hall of Fame Immortal Broken. On the eve of Season 35, I was informed by Ljp86 that changes in circumstances mean that he can no longer update the ladder and stats in a timely manner at a satisfactory quality. Ljp86 has done a great job on the ladder updates for 20+ seasons and it is an extremely tough act to follow. But on short notice, Broken had picked up the ladder thread, taken ownership and even added his own spin on it with fancy graphics and links, updating them reliably and with great quality. He is also responsible for all the vote graphics for this presentation!
Given the extraordinary efforts Broken has given in various statistical projects, it would surprise many to learn that Broken had only received one FRA previously. I don't believe that accurately reflects the contributions he has made in service of the league so this is a well overdue recognition for his commitment.
Congratulations Broken!
Frankston Rover Award Winner - TheInjuryFactory
Another player that I wish to recognise is TheInjuryFactory, not only does flashy media threads but is one of the most reliable, dedicated workers in doing the grunt work that elevates the presentation and quality of various initiatives that I want to run. Need jumper designs for Heritage Round on short notice? I reach out to TIF and he gets it done no problems. Need to put together a presentation for a brand new launch of State of Origin Series? TIF smashes the graphics out quickly to great quality. Need to put on a charity game? TIF is on it.
After my efforts to destroy his beloved team sheet rules I wouldn't blame him at all if he were to tell me to * off on each occasion I've asked something of him but he is a consumate professional and absolutely deserving of a second FRA.
Frankston Rover Award Winner - Wosh
Last but certainly not least, is one of the genuine superstars I have been honoured to see go about her work across the entire journey - Wosh. As a site administrator, she does a power of unheralded work behind-the-scenes to make this league run so much smoother. Not only does she dedicate time to post games every Sunday, she organises badges, committee access, tagging capabilities along with providing leadership on plenty of initiatives, helping struggling clubs out in their recruitment efforts. Heritage Round, she helped out in posting the Legends games and even brought back Frankston Rover! The most notable is her brilliant work on our tour of the General Discussion Board Charity Tour where she set up the fundraising page, coordinated with the GD mods, pulled together a team of GD board members to partake in our tour game and drive engagement.
Given her efforts over the journey, it comes as a big surprise that she's never received this honour named after the Wombat - well now I think it's time we correct that record.
Brilliant work Wosh!
I still don't know who you are?
A former admin of the league and this is the best you can muster.
Can someone please escort SM from the premisis? I asked not to be disturbed, as a former admin of the league, I have that right.
Congratulations to my three dear friends, Broken, TheInjuryFactory, and Wosh on being recognisedwith the Frankston Rover Award. Many unrecognised and unknown efforts between this collective.
Hard to find three better servants for the league. Your service is immensely appreciated by me personally, and I am sure by everyone else in the league also. The league simply would be magnitudes more boring and dull without those contributions.
And a shoutout to Ljp86 for his extended service to the league before handing over to Broken this season. Hard to put into words his contribution over such a long period.
Oh cool! Thought you'd forgotten about Purple7x08_24 's first votes graphics from round 5, but you got Mesc's in on time which is awesome.Round 09:
3 votes see norway blue off the mark. Hoping they see this and are not a banned Bomber too!
Purple numbers also with 3 votes gets off the mark!
Round 10:
End of a streak of polling in 5 games for omgfridge
3 votes has NaturalDisaster tick over 50 Career Mobbenfuhrer Medal votes!
After 36 games, Mesc finally gets their first career votes!
Just a little bit heyCould have been
Congrats to all!View attachment 1720185

Cheers Bob. I left doing the graphics pretty late, so I must have missed them, so appreciate you getting to it. Apologies to Mofra and SBYM.Oh cool! Thought you'd forgotten about Purple7x08_24 's first votes graphics from round 5, but you got Mesc's in on time which is awesome.
Just wondering if you have any more up your sleeve? If you don't then that's alright, if you'll indulge me I've knocked a couple up.
