Now it is time for the Frankston Rover Award. The award for service to the league as chosen by the Administrator. As far as Season 35 goes, I should really say it is time to give the Frankston Rover Awards with an 'S' because this award was designed so that we can acknowledge efforts in doing the hard work that makes this league a better place and in Season 35 it is a rare instance where the efforts of multiple people are so outstanding over the course of the season that it would be unfair to exclude any one of them from such recognition.

Frankston Rover Award Winner - Broken

The first individual that I want to acknowledge by awarding the FRA to is the Hall of Fame Immortal Broken. On the eve of Season 35, I was informed by Ljp86 that changes in circumstances mean that he can no longer update the ladder and stats in a timely manner at a satisfactory quality. Ljp86 has done a great job on the ladder updates for 20+ seasons and it is an extremely tough act to follow. But on short notice, Broken had picked up the ladder thread, taken ownership and even added his own spin on it with fancy graphics and links, updating them reliably and with great quality. He is also responsible for all the vote graphics for this presentation!

Given the extraordinary efforts Broken has given in various statistical projects, it would surprise many to learn that Broken had only received one FRA previously. I don't believe that accurately reflects the contributions he has made in service of the league so this is a well overdue recognition for his commitment.

Frankston Rover Award Winner - TheInjuryFactory

Another player that I wish to recognise is TheInjuryFactory, not only does flashy media threads but is one of the most reliable, dedicated workers in doing the grunt work that elevates the presentation and quality of various initiatives that I want to run. Need jumper designs for Heritage Round on short notice? I reach out to TIF and he gets it done no problems. Need to put together a presentation for a brand new launch of State of Origin Series? TIF smashes the graphics out quickly to great quality. Need to put on a charity game? TIF is on it.

After my efforts to destroy his beloved team sheet rules I wouldn't blame him at all if he were to tell me to * off on each occasion I've asked something of him but he is a consumate professional and absolutely deserving of a second FRA.

Frankston Rover Award Winner - Wosh

Last but certainly not least, is one of the genuine superstars I have been honoured to see go about her work across the entire journey - Wosh. As a site administrator, she does a power of unheralded work behind-the-scenes to make this league run so much smoother. Not only does she dedicate time to post games every Sunday, she organises badges, committee access, tagging capabilities along with providing leadership on plenty of initiatives, helping struggling clubs out in their recruitment efforts. Heritage Round, she helped out in posting the Legends games and even brought back Frankston Rover! The most notable is her brilliant work on our tour of the General Discussion Board Charity Tour where she set up the fundraising page, coordinated with the GD mods, pulled together a team of GD board members to partake in our tour game and drive engagement.

Given her efforts over the journey, it comes as a big surprise that she's never received this honour named after the Wombat - well now I think it's time we correct that record.

This is only my second season here and the SFA is easily my favourite board on BF now. Thanks, Robertio for dragging me over from the Carlton board, it's a great community, looking forward to many more seasons of fun and getting to know people I never would have otherwise here.

After going out with straight sets, and with ShaunDuggan due for the beez soon it will be a near perfect Furies season. Next season we will top it off with the spoon as well, I can feel it.

Now it is time for us recognise the young blood of this league. This season we have had a rookie class that has spent a lot less time in the media and more within match threads. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, plenty of great posters have come through the ranks understanding the concept before branching out.

This season, there has been some solid work recognised for rookies that have a strong presence in match threads and one of those is the winner of the Season 35 EKA - the brother of HARPSichord, MayTheNorthBeWithU who from what I have seen has demonstrated quick wit, humour, the ability to adapt to any style of posting not matter which direction the thread goes or against any opponent and fairly focused on Qooty banter. He is a great addition to the Wonders and has caught the eye of various captains around the league.

An honourable mention to Membling and Frederico_WA who come in 2nd and 3rd who have been a strong presence for the Royals and Furies respectively.

To all the rookies, hopefully you stick around this community for many seasons to come.

Ladies, Gentleman and that rainbow technicolour inbetween, I have to tell you, it's a real shame. A tremendous, tremendous shame. The biggest shame, believe me. I just found out that I didn't win this big, beautiful award, and I have to blame someone. You know who that someone is? Senor Melt. Yeah, that's right. Senor Melt. Who is this guy? I have no idea. But apparently, he's responsible for me not getting enough votes.

Now, let me tell you, I would have won this award by a landslide. A huge, magnificent landslide. Everybody knows it. But Senor Melt, with his melted face and his melted brain, decided to stand in my way. And I have to say, it's just sad. So sad. I mean, who names themselves Senor Melt? It sounds like a rejected superhero from a bad comic book. Pathetic.

But you know what? I'm not going to let Senor Melt get to me. No, sir. I'm a winner. Always have been, always will be. I'm the best at winning. Nobody wins like me. So, Senor Melt, you can keep your little award. It doesn't matter to me. I've got bigger things to do. I'm building the greatest, most SFA career the world has ever seen. And guess what? It's going to be so big, so huge, that even Senor Melt won't be able to melt it away.

So, thank you, Senor Melt, for reminding me how amazing I am. Your little award doesn't define me. I'm SplintWhisky, and I'm going to keep winning. Believe me, folks. It's going to be tremendous.
