I'm unsure if Gags is culpable for the lack on interest shown in StKilda but l do think he's been very good with contracts and TPP and can stay in the fold in that capacity whilst and when we get a gun list boss.

Rath is a strategist that oversaw one of the shittest most dated strategies ever devised and had no plan B.

Gags has been good at contracting players at lower rates than they expected but rumours that he has poor relationships with some players and probably hasn't been good at trading players out at the same kind of currency as we spend to get the equivalents in. Also have lots of structural holes and didn't balance the age profiles of the list.

I've heard that Gags was one in the sights in the Noble report too. Not sure of the accuracy.

Charlie Sutton was sacked as Footscray coach after 1957 and 1968.

Bill Stephen resigned as Fitzroy coach in 1957, returned in 1965 before resigning again in 1970, then returning again in 1979 before retiring in 1980.

John Kennedy resigned from Hawthorn in 1963 and returned in 1967.

Bob Rose was sacked by Collingwood in 1971 and returned in 1985 before retiring in 1986.

Alex Jesaulenko resigned as Carlton coach in 1979 and returned as coach in 1989 before being sacked in 1990.

Tony Jewell was sacked by Richmond after 1981 and 1987.

They won't be interviewing anyone else though if he's agreed to take the job and all signs are that he has, it's exciting to think what he could do for us.
