Gives you a much better overview of what really went down when he left.
The board at the time was horrific, and to compound Things we were all reeling from the terrible disappointments of 2009/2010.
Ross could have done nothing more for the club at that time.
Our list was in a mess afterwards, but he threw everything at getting a flag.

I've got no issues with the way he left in hindsight. However, we can't have a repeat of the list of management decisions made towards the end of his tenure and the lack of playing kids, etc.

Ross would have had a large say in all of that regardless of if it was 100% his job.

For a very very long time it was only ever reported as Ross knifed the saints cause he doesnt do rebuilds.

It was a much much better narrative than what actually happened and Ross makes for a pretty good villain for the media.

Thanks for your concerns but I can assure you they're not required. I have a good enough grasp of the variables of life not to get that excited by a twitter post or two.

PS - so your little one sided story is acceptable but mine isn't. Interesting.

PPS - just to ensure you are fully informed - in 2011 Lyon had a three year extension offer from the St Kilda board which he rejected in favour of Fremantle's offer because of the performance conditions built into the St Kilda contract.

Now I don't blame him for choosing the security of Freo's offer but to make us out to be the bad guys is a bit rich. He was concerned that he would lose his contract and he would be terminated if the club did not improve its performance under his watch.
