Pardon the intrusion but the current predicament is eerily similar to Richmond pre- 2010. Poorly run at the top that followed up with poor coaching appointments/extensions. The two biggest changes that turned us around were the appointments of Peggy O'Neil and Benny gale. Saints need the right people with the right ideas at the top and success will filter down

Right now I don't care that we made a mistake in re-signing him. I'm sure how that happened will be dealt with.

I'm just ecstatic that we had the balls to correct the mistake before it cost us more in the long term.

Our list is better that some would lead you to believe. Better than it's been in a long time.

100% agree. Yes the re signing was absolutely a horrendous mistake but instead of just going with it we have made a tough call on a coach that isn't up to it. Hopefully it's a step in the right direction.

There was something going on behind the scenes at the Trevor Barker night, Ratten looked completely stressed and hardly invested. It also completely explains our inability to sign the few fringe players we targetted.

Walsh is a big fan of Buckley so stay tuned.

I would ask the question of Ross Lyon however, I think his processes and defensive attitudes would have adjusted over time. I know there was bad blood between him and the club when he left but he is a briliant coach and I believe he would be a good fit for the club to take us forward.

It’s only a six month payout now.

People are making too much of the recent re-signing.

We had a review, we confirmed he was crap, we wielded the axe.

This is the way to do it, no messing around and we move forward as a club with a better coach.
