Well here I am again. But am I? There's a detachment. I haven't watched the last 3 games properly, not sure I have the guts to, though I do have a need to understand how it's gone so wrong so quickly, and what the club needs to do to fix it.

But i really don't know why I care. At a certain stage it is healthy to train myself to care less, to spend less of my life obsessing over this broken club.

I don't think I'm at that stage yet. But if I'm not completely ECO, the suitcases are on the bed in my emotional room and I'm lazily starting to get the stuff around the room into them. After the match against Carlton I fear I'll be making that call to the cab company and making sure the shower gel and toothcare products are packed.

In remembrance of that classic line in The Eagles' Hotel California: You can check out any time you like but you can never leave. More's the pity.

I reckon I’m a Sado-masochist I feel more passion from the pain than the glory. Or maybe the thrill of winning is so rare that I’ve forgotten the joy. This season hasn’t felt thrilling even when we’re winning, most are more questions than answer type games. I want out but I’ve got myself foreskin trapped in the eternal pain cycle.

I feel like the Saints could come back and win a premiership now and i would coldly acknowledge it.
Its like I've found a way to mentally lobotomise the part of my brain that deals with the Saints, and remove the emotion from it.

Nice win, but I felt nothing.

Blues with a long injury list, plus missing a million easy goals made us look better than we are.

Nice win, but nothing to get excited about.
I get what you’re saying there are still vulnerabilities in the team. Honestly, on what I’ve seen the first two thirds of the season I don’t think any team apart from Melbourne is really that good so if we can get a run on at the right time then they could surprise us how far they get.

Equally put in a couple of bad ones in the next couple of weeks and it’s curtains. Just that sort of season.

If you are emotionally invested watching what this sport has become this year with the way it’s being umpired then more the fool you.

Umpiring has beaten it to within an inch of its life and Saints alternating between contenders to pretenders has just ended any enjoyment I have had in watching the sport. Reading Bigfooty is more enjoyable than watching the game.

With the AFL essentially a law unto itself, given that it’s not an international game, they can just change the rules as they please and advantage whichever team they reckon spins a better narrative for their WWE-like story line.

It’s a shame because it’s a bloody great sport and can be so exciting, I’m thinking about trying to get into watching local suburban footy instead.

Shit club will dither away each and every year. 2 more years of Ratts let’s go

Another week, another ECO GIF...

Imagining Season 4 GIF by The Simpsons

Season 1 amazing. Season 2 ok. I couldn’t get into season 3…should I give it another crack?
Agree with you on your 1 and 2 ratings.

I liked season 3, I think the Starcourt mall and the general 80s vibes. It is better than 3.

In season 4 the genre has changed a lot and they have gone more like a nod to 80s horror movies more than it was before - Robert Englund even has a couple of cameo roles. Once I got used to that I’d put it on a par with 3.

Avoid Obi Wan its total shite, laughably bad in fact. As against the Mandalorian and Boba Fett spin-offs which were class (made by Jon Favreau).

Ozark has proved to be long-term reliable entertainment you can trust.

We’re talking Ratten seasons?
