Will you assholes stop beating Geelong please? cos we are going o cop an absolute bum raping in RD 1 when they come out to prove a point.

Hahahaha true this.

Can't we just enjoy it for 24 hours? Yes, they had half their team out and we didn't but we were 13 goals to 2 in front early in the last quarter. They did still have 12 premiership players playing...that is 12 more than us!

We can't beat an egg, so to beat the cats by 51 points...this could be our grand final!
We had 11 out agianst dogs and apparently thats not a reason to lose, so in my eyes Tiggers.......YOU WON FAIR AND SQUARE..... :thumbsu:/:p
Cats must be on the slide !!

I find it interesting that one week Geelong is 4 weeks behind other teams in their preparation but the following week can rest half the squad.
They have lifted their workload at training, so i would guess that has something to do with it.

Not worried at all the by the loss as we were missing our A grade midfield of Ablett, Selwood, Corey & Ling, and our Key Position Forwards were missing aswell as Steve Johnson, Harry Taylor and Andrew Mackie. A heck of alot more quality than Hawthorns out's.

Obviously.

Your outs mean you had half a team and were bound to lose, but our outs mean nothing, and the Hawks are finished.

Gotcha! :thumbsu:

LOL.....you have forgotten Rd 14 2009 when he pantsed Harry?
But its true....Taylor has beaten him twice in the wet......;)...lets hopefor a fine day next time...

It could be a fine day, but it might piss down when we play you that night. :p

pfft Geelong had their reserves

Party pooper. :p

So the Hawks had their CHB, CHF, FF, starting midfield and best forward pocket player out on Friday night did they?

Oh wait, Hodge, Mitchell, Franklin and Roughead were all running around, weren't they?

Richmond have gone from $4.40 wooden spoon to $1.01 Premiership favs after today :D

You know what I love about this thread, Richmond supporters are so honest and enjoy a laugh and a win, they expect to have a good season and improve from last year as does all teams, if this story was about Carlton beating Geelong in Yea, all they would be talking about is the flag is finally sitting on our doorstep.

Good for you Richmond. I hope you have a good 2010 and make an impression this year.

I think the key to Richmond this season will be the following 'core' players:

Code:
Foley - 24 yoa - 80* games
Thursfeild - 23 - 50*
Thomson - 23 - 30
Tambling - 23 - 90*
Morton - 23 - 50*
McGaune - 23 - 50*
Deldeio - 22 - 100*
Edwards - 21 - 50*
Riewoldt - 21 - 50*

+ Connors, Nahas, Collins, Jackson

and to a lesser extent White, Polo, Graham

Did Cuzzy play?

What is his situation at the moment?

injured? rested?

Cousins played 3/4s of the game and finshed with about 22 touches.

Cuz should be in good nick for R1.

Agreed. And from Geelong's perspective, not matter how many were out, a 9-10 goal loss isn't flash.

Guerra, Gilham, Osborne, Rioli, Bateman, Burgoyne, Renouf, Dowler, Young.

Now, listen, I don't care about it, we got flogged. So be it.

But I'm not going to sit here and listen to the "Pokemon/Supercoach" players try to say that THEIR outs were obviously massive, and a huge factor, while Hawthorn's out obviously weren't, and we just were'nt good enough.

Hawthorn wasn't good enough against the Dogs, and neither was Geelong against Richmond.

Hodge, Mitchell, Franklin, Roughead? Yes, they were in.

But as you found in 2008, when after beating us in Round 17 without Ablett, Ling and other stars, it's actually not the best 6 that make the difference, is it?

It's the last 6, or 8, in the 22.

If games were decided 6 on 6, we would have had a crack (though we might want Cyril in there)

But its 22 against 22.

So feel free to start telling me how Player X for Geelong who was out is so obviously 'better' than Player X for Hawthorn who was out, but forgive me if I just go snooze

I open a thread called "Tigers smash cats!" & all I'm reading is Hawthorn shit?

I'm only responding to the Cats who brought Hawthorn into it, Big Nasty and Winty, why their loss was different to ours because of 'outs'

Well, we can either figure we're ~80 worse than Hawthorn and ~50 better than Geelong, or we can realise they're just practice matches, and even a full strength team would be trying out new positions and plans.

You're surprised?

With the collective chip on the shoulder they all have, ever thread they're mentioned in becomes yet another soapbox for them to say how wonderous they are and how bad they've got it, etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Give it a few pages and they'll tell us they not only invented sliced bread, but improved on it, except the umpires victimise them so much they can't use it.

Yes i guess youd say Burgoyne Rioli and Hooper are all vying for our best forward pocket posi:thumbsu: Plus one other slight difference, well two really we smashed the Tiges you got smashed by them:thumbsu: and the other is we got smashed by flag favorites and you by wooden spoon favorites:thumbsu:

Thanks dude.

Magnanimity in Bigfooty is pretty rare.

I hear you brother....................last night v Port sure didn't make my day either.

Its NAB at least and this time of year some teams are simply more advanced fitness wise than others, especially when you :eek:play lots of rookies and players who need match practice to get their fitness up.

Still sux though:mad:
