If Reid's above Curtin on the draft board, which he is, why the hell would we trade him out for Curtin?

Answer that.

Because we might prefer Curtin and one or two other picks than Reid by himself?

Maybe once we hashed out a deal with GWS we became more inclined to take Reid with 1.

Because 1 and 23 for 2 and two of 15/17/18 is an offer we believe can be bettered? Not sure mate. Like I said, its a crackpot theory. And its Clarko.

Especially considering it's an SEN circle-jerk from the usual suspects.

I think they are weighing up whether to do what we are thinking and trade in for pick 7 and grab him that way.

I suspect we’re just worrying about what we can control

We have pick 1 - take Reid

Curtin either gets through to the GWS pick or he doesn’t.

We’ll have a loose agreement with them predraft as to whether they’ll trade their pick for our F1 or we won’t

If he gets through and they’ve agreed to a trade then Curtin will be an Eagle

But we can’t stop North, or Hawthorn or Melbourne drafting him. Nor can we force GWS to accept the trade

So wait and see what happens on the night

Yep it’s a huge risk. Don’t trade the F1 otherwise we risk setting back our rebuild many years if Curtin is a bust.

Last years draft looking like a tick.

Trading a projected top 2 pick for a bloke who could fall to pick 10 is huge….

Say what you want but the Eagles do things their way and don’t listen to the noise. Let’s hope if it happens Curtin comes up big.

(Huge fan of Curtin but I reckon the Mids next year hit more of a need)

I just don't see Curtin making it as midfielder and reckon our F1 will pretty much finalise our first choice next gen midfield.

Trading pick 1 or 2 next year for pick 9 this year for a defender who we constantly pull from picks 30-45 iin the draft is bad business.

Reeks of wanting to bounce back faster short cutting the rebuild.

If Curtin wasn't from WA no one would have him in the conversation to trade our future 1st .
