North Melbourne save us from ourselves and offer GWS pick 15, 17, 18 for 7, 43, 59 and take Curtin. We draft Finn O’Sullivan next year who wins the rising star.

Yep it’s a huge risk. Don’t trade the F1 otherwise we risk setting back our rebuild many years if Curtin is a bust.

By making it sound that they will take Curtin with 2 or 3 they believe we are more likely to trade pick 1 for pick 2 and change.

imo Hawks tried the same tactic earlier in the week as, if we are spooked into trading pick 1 with North, North will likely not pick Duursma if they have already taken Reid leaving Duursma with them. Or we just accept Hawks offer. Either way.

It only works if we are hell bent on Curtin. And if we're okay with not getting Reid. Its a hail mary and a crackpot theory for sure.
