Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Keys you may like to sticky this post & move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread if you have one.

you guys are hilarious. the chances there will be a huge difference in the output from collard, moir and whoever we take tomorrow is low. this draft is so even after the first dozen i don't really think it matters at all. look at some of the bolters ffs.
we got reid. tomorrow we'll take some kids that may turn into good role players. next year we'll do it again with pick 1-5.
too easy.
Its more about our 2nd rounder is now 30 and we couldn't even match a bid on our own academy player after there were 5 academy and 2 father sons already matched .

It’s an addiction for some (complaining and near melts) 🤷‍♂️

We knew that we were up against it (with the “complex” draft and Norf charity). The main disappointment is missing out on Collard. I certainly hope that one of Don’s first tasks will be to discuss the draft and all it entails with the VFL.

Anyhow, still have a few picks to work with tomorrow. And I’m sure the mopers will cheer up re Reid, he was all that matters (that’s what we had for the last 4-5 months) 😂

Not sure we had anything that anyone wanted.

Going fwd we need to trade out older players for picks or let them walk for compo, there are no other option with this Nth Academy shite.

Gee those happy clapping our win over the Bulldogs, would really be crying now if the Roos hadn't won their last.

Pick 3 and 31 would have been a ripper.
Says on the website that the wce team tried and failed to trade up

Eagles taking Just Take Reid literally.
There would be some great irony in taking Archie Reid tomorrow night.

"Who do we grab, boys?"

"Just take Reid?"

"It worked last night."

"Alright, lock it in."

Oi, let us melt

Not as bothered by Collard as others seem to be

Very interested to know what happened with the whole Curtin/GWS/Crows scenario. Reckon the Crows tried last minute to get extras out of us knowing how keen we were on Curtin, which was always a risk with a live trade.

Definitely looked like Curtin and his family thought he was staying home

Gee, hopefully Reid is loyal as hell because at this rate we're going to be shithouse for a decade.

Pretty flat that this is our haul after this year. Gifts handed out left and right, academy bullshit, bullshit CBA gaming and free agency graft.

I think I'm done with the trade/draft period next year. Too much time spent on absolute wank.

I was shocked and they looked like i felt

Hard to look past Murphy as he's best available by some margin.
Not as an exciting pick as others, though.

Hmmmm. Murphy.

I recall a couple of posters saying basically I was off with the fairies suggesting Murphy would be available at our 2nd.

Maybe they can let us know how the fairies are travelling tonight.;);)

ZZ, Cooper Simpson or Murphy is my call for our pick 30.

Somebody said it's because he tested woefully at the combine?

2 hours for 26 odd picks.

Maybe make it one a day.

A while ago I'd agree.

However splitting the draft means players from the 2nd round get more exposure and time for them to shine.

In previous years I thought it was terrible form that the draft kept going and all they did was interview 1st round picks. Felt it was very disrespectful to the kids drafted later and their families. They have put in just as much work as the earlier draftees.

Murphy would be a great get tho. Feel like a long term solution at lock down defender is a big need and he is the right measurable too. Gut feel says we won't tho.
Murphy is the logical selection but is not a sexy pick.
Despite having a far better season than Moir (or Collard) he is primarily a shut down defender. And an exceptionally good one.
He is 200cm, just needs to put on the muscle at this point.
