Hilarious meltdown, people talking about an AFL-wide conspiracy and gender targets.
Talk about getting emotional. Bit of critical thinking guys. He's not getting paid much
Are the AFL woke? - Clearly yes.
Are the AFL against Richmond? - Based on high P-Value studies of Free kicks and ground positioning with quotes from Hocking around rule changes - irrefutably yes.

AFL execs joining the media to ensure BF and our supporters are melting again,

Watching Zac Efron GIF by Baywatch Movie

If you believe that Jack Graham moved to Western Australia for less money than you're dumber than I thought.

The argument of increased TPP doesn't wash either as we got band 4, not band 3 to adjust for that.

Brandon Ellis had 5 years @ $600k so more money and longer term and was AA u22 team every year also AA squad in the previous year yet we got far less than motlop and our Cuckold leadership said and did nothing.

6-year deal. Probably $4.2m total give or take. Graham ballpark $2.2-2.4m deal over 3-years.

AFL knows we are gonna have 6-7 top-25 picks. Didn’t want us to have any more. It was probably borderline band-3 but CFL hates Richmond and knows we are already stacked in the draft. Simple as that.

Average wage means nothing when you have 3-4 players in the million dollar range these days lifting the average

Graham wont be on more than $500k if the compo is band 4
its a simple formula and they would need to justify if questioned

Age - Tick
Years of contract - Tick
Salary - Cross

also would be easy to find out the salary as Clarke & Blair would have discussed it and the managers would have been keeping Richmond informed incase he could get a bump
Im confident its $450-$500k range
Yeahs of contract imo is short. If it was 5 years might’ve gone to band 3.

We should’ve shipped him off last year but even then what were Port prepared to offer us. A second rounder so a mid 30 pick?

He’s been great as a role player and depth and his finals history was unreal particularly that prelim against Geelong in 2019 playing with a bung shoulder.

I really don’t think he’s offered that much for us since the flags and most teams see that with the lack of interest. Tigers came late to match his contract knowing how poor it was but even we weren’t prepared to offer more than 3 years.

It’s a fair pick. Don’t get me a wrong a shit pick but a fair pick

Port didnt want him

There's no way Melbourne trading a future 1st for 18 which will end up being 24-25.

It's pick 11.

Will be absolutely hilarious if Freo stuff this up and Bolton goes to West Coast. He's exactly what they're missing and stuffing this up will is the reason why will continue to never win a flag.

They really are happy being mediocre - Bolton will get them into a flag contention.
And Warner re signs over the summer. Lol

Pick 25 is the compo for Jack Graham according to a inside info guy at Richmond on the tigercast

Said Richmond knows

Must have been Cameron Hicks with this info

I don't rate Graham and made it clear but the shit show at AFL house not making the comp pick equations clear for all continues.

If they had a table which had clear guidelines on what equals what and then salaries also need to be made public. No one would have an issue.

All it seems they do now is spin a wheel and give out whatever it lands on. If you're shit club that hasn't won anything for years you get multiple spins until it works out for you.

Yes, that’s the problem. We’d all be fine with this if compensation was based on what a player would get in the open market. But some teams are getting Band 1 compensation for fringe players while others.

I don’t trust the AFL with hiding anything from the public, so they need to work out a transparent system that makes sense to us

The umpires have earpieces connected to some nefarious bloke telling them what to pay and what not to pay. (If it's so innocent make the communications accessible to the public or the clubs after the game?) How many times has an umpire 50m away come in and over ruled the controlling umpire with some ludicrous head scratching call that results in a goal..... let's not forget Gil McLaughlin is now head of the largest gambling business in the country.

Middle of the year when we were unbackable at 8-1.... 10-1 we had a weird patch where we were getting ridiculous calls our way and the rub of the green til half time. We'd be winning or neck and neck. Then the punters would see value in us and load up. Then whooshka the umps came out with the spiky pineapple and the decisions were completely going the oppos way and just like that we'd inevitably lose.

It's probably fair for who he is but when you stack it up against the other free agents it doesn't make sense.

Oh well, we move on.
Perfect summary - in isolation its probably slightly unders, should be a start of 2nd Rounder - but in perspective of what has been given elsewhere, really should be better than that. The only thought, do we have something else in the pipeline that frankly makes what we get for Jack a mute point. Still not right though.

People need to understand that with Graham it was us or WCE, there was no real bidding war. Cumming had both Port & Adelaide bidding for him as well as GWS as well as getting a 6 year deal, which means he gets maximum value for that whereas Graham is on 4 years.

All that forces up his value therefore his compensation is higher than what 2e got for Graham. There is no conspiracy or secret herbs and spices involved, we got what Graham is valued at.

We'll use that pick in combination with others to get better picks either this year or next and will also be able to put more time into a younger and hopefully better player than Graham would have been.
