Not sure if oppo fans permitted in here, but delete if so. I really like Jack Graham. I assume you lot would be disappointed to lose him, but with Hopper and Taranto in I am guessing something has to give. His leadership and on field organisation strikes me as a real strength of his.

Do you feel the Amon compo would be appropriate?

You're not wrong, his leadership has always been very highly regarded. Trust me he is a much better player than what supercoach and basic stats tell us. I'd much rather keep as we now lose 2 players who played the high HF fwd role, Graham and Lambert, both crucial cogs in our system. If the Amon compo is end of first round then yeah its fair.

I think we underrate his impact a lot. Would rather he stays another season, see how he goes after a season TT and Hopper and then facilitate the trade if need be. Obviously his value can either go up or down, but I back to him to play well.

Samson Ryan is ready for next season. Ruck and forward. He is our ace in the pack. Jacob Bauer is not far off either. Very exciting. Must hold onto these two players at all costs. Don’t want another Chol disaster.

The good thing is we're tailoring Sonsie/Ross for that role, thats half the reason we could afford not playing Graham in the Final. This sucks but its not catastrophic.

I'd try and push for their future first.

Sorry for the intrusion lads, few whispers that Soldo could be a target of the Blues. Makes a bit of sense since considering the talk that you were trying to package up Soldo in the Hopper/Taranto trades even though GWS is well stocked in their ruck depth.

Tiger71 heard anything about this? Would probably be our first choice ruck if it did come about and would help you get the deals across the line?

In all honesty, I think if Jack Graham is off to Port for a pick our need to trade Soldo for a pick is no longer required and considering Soldo is back up to Nankervis I doubt we would be interested in trading Soldo now.

Graham + #30 for pick #8 or he stays
contracted player that we want to keep and are not shopping him around

Uncontracted Cerra last year went for #6 plus more and he has not done much more than Graham

He moved on for more opportunity. We didn't want him to go. We could of used a player of his ability for sure this season. But, we did lose him and we move on.

That might be so, I have a feeling the Graham trade is for us to get an additional pick to make GWS happier with losing Taranto & Hopper.

I suspect that it’s more because Port lost out on Dunkley and with Hopper and Taranto coming across, Port are prepared to make a move for him.

The fact that Riewoldt on radio stated he’d be upset if we lost him well after he took a significant pay cut to stay makes me think this wasn’t the club’s plan.
